Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
those assholes do the same thing with my stuff, i dont know what the hell is wrong with them, i just recently shipped something and it got lost, they must be doing something. this has also been my third time, luckily i insure my stuff but its still a pain in the ass.
that is not a fair statement. It is a good working job and the benefits are probably worth as much as the pay itself. Not much for the dress code and Jebes get those poor souls a plant or something to spruce up the office...
PS I have my mail delivered to my house and have NEVER had anything lost or stolen. My carriers are very good at what they do and very friendly :P

Because the mail never stops. It just keeps coming and coming and coming. There's never a letup, It's relentless. Every day it piles up more and more, but the more you get out, the more it keeps coming. And then the bar code reader breaks. And then it's Publisher's Clearinghouse day.

Get a PO Box. At least you will shorten the chain of people who handle your mail. A lot of the people who deliver to home mailboxes are contractors.

I know the rural carriers are contractors. Not sure about the (sub)urban contractors though.

Complain to the Postmaster in writing and by phone. Please dont expect
them to be mind-readers. If you're having a problem, they need to know
about it. Last summer our mail carrier walked by a neighbors house and
heard a smoke detector. He knocked on my door and alerted me and I called
911. Fortunately, it was only a kitchen fire. Someone had actually put on
a kettle of crabs on their stove to cook and left the house to get something
from the grocery , forgetting about the crabs. PEWWWW!!!
It could have been a lot worse if it was a house fire, but its nice to
know he was awake and alert. Thank you Mr. USPS!
I imagine they stole your sunglasses because they wanted them but didn't want to pay for them, and they replaced it with deodorant for shits 'n' giggles.
