Switching schools due to school boundary changes etc

I was talking to my mom and she said I lived a military child lifestyle growing up because they changed the school boundaries so often. I went to school with people who went to Chantilly, Centreville and Fairfax high schools.

1st: Centreville Elementary
2nd: Centreville Elementary
3rd: Union Mill
4th: Union Mill
5th: Virginia Run
6th: Willow Springs
7th: Lanier
8th: Rocky Run
9th-12th: Fairfax

Anyone else have a similar experience?

That has to suck. Those who can, do, those who can not, teach, those who can not teach run Fairfax County Schools. Dr Dale was brain dead long before he became brain dead. His wife is even worse.

That must have been in the mid-late 1980s early 1990s? But wow - that is the craziest I have ever seen. Although a few of those must have been actual moves - not boundary changes (Union Mill-Virginia Run-Willow Springs).

It's only a military child lifestyle if you were the only one whose boundaries changed, making you the new kid every time, and if you spent most of your childhood wondering when your military parent was going to get blown up. And if your asshole friends all thought you were a dick for not appreciating all the boundary changing you did.

What I mean is, stfu.

They did it in the 60's and 70's too.

5 different schools in 5 years.
