Police shoot dog in Fairfax, Va

Police shoot pit mix puppy in Fairfax, VA near Baladna/Primetime bars. It is imperative as neighbors, friends, and residents of this county that we find answers behind this inhumane, cruel, DISGUSTING act of police force. Guns do not kill others, criminals do. How they, with our tax dollars are allowed to do things like this are beyond imagination. Something should be done. If you leave an email I will send you the video, this needs to be leaked. I do not have the full story but as a community I believe it is our right to demand answers.

Thanks Police. We need more aggressive dogs getting shot. I am sick of irresponsible dog owners getting away with letting their dogs bark forever and pooping on others people's property. Dogs are not people, they are property.
PETA needs to STFU. Animals don't have rights, people do. Your dog does not have the right to ruin your neighbors quality of life without ending up a menu of an Asian restaurant.

I'm happy to send a letter of support...to the police.

Thank you for removing this dangerous dog.

If the police felt threatened, I am sure it was a scary dog. Any Dog that threatens any non criminal person deserves to be put down. It isn't the dogs fault he had lousy human owners but none the less to damn bad and not all dogs are redeemable. Why take chances.

What a lopsided, bullshit post. You provide almost no detail and paint this portrait of a puppy being gunned down. You're right that something should be done - like punish the owner who's responsible for letting their pit bull run free, where there are HUMANS who could be injured.

other than the dog shooting? i know that there have been issues recently with homeless men living in the woods in that area. some of the homeowners are now literally trying to run them out of the woods. situation seems to be getting a little out of hand.

Interesting but no mention in the Fairfax City Police reports.

I'm positive a dog alone was not the issue here. There were over 30 cop cars blocking stevenson and a helicopter roaming last night. That seems extremely excessive for a dog that was causing problems. Does anyone have any idea what actually was happening?

this was Fairfax County, not the City. the woods behind the old KMart on Jermantown are inhabited by homeless men. the woods behind the trailer park are also inhabited by homeless men. the homeowners that live behind the Walmart and next to the trailer park have recently had lots of issues with these homeless men. stuff like the homeless men sleeping on their patios, stealing stuff, and basically confronting the homeowners and letting them know that they basically roam their small neighborhood all night long while the homeowners are asleep and unaware. WELL - now the homeowners are aware and i honestly fear some bad ending to the situation.

+1, a favor to count residents. One less pit to eat the face of a child or baby.

The are wasting their time and money treating an armed drug dealer's dog? What a crock of Pitbull. I hope the taxpayers are not getting billed for it.

I can't see .mov or .WMV - both formats microsoft stole from the industry and altered to make incompatible

I use MPG - Media Proffesional Group (is DVD), .au (audio, Sun Audio), .JPG (journalists), .PNG, not .bmp, or anything apple or ibm is nice, .PS or .PDF (i hate html but) or sun java (used in dvd players) not (#c,dcom)

My experience is anything in .WMV is probably porn microsoft is selling, or democrat drivel or virus that mcafee is trying to stall my pc with - all of which I'M SURE I'M BETTER OF WITHOUT.

thanks for the .mov offer - i can guess i don't need to see it wihtout seeing it

(ms is well known for refusing to pay patents on PDF (.ps) and MPG - stealing it later, and preverting new versions to be incompatible, then trying to cause the market to use only their format)

(post script: girls. if you film yourselves in WMV look at the license. microsoft retains ownership of anything you produce and while it is in their "format" (however stolen) until you delete the file or convert it from their format. read the license again.)

(btw microsoft paid printer companies to let them do the drivers, urged and threatened developers to, right on their CD i still have it: drivers are how they targeted made in usa printers to favor asian printers. one of many of their war against usa tactics)

(on the next release there was allot of news about peoples printers no longer working. really i didn't see that coming. oh: i did. i know how to read.)

Sad how much "Let me write an 'article' without all the facts and post it to the internet" goes on these days. Is it just to get a rise out of people? The mission was accomplished here but most likely not to the OPs satisfaction. The fact that the cops then sought medical attention for the dog which is expected to survive is mere icing on the cake.
