I know Virginia has a current moratorium on drones. but honestly, how long will it be until fairfax county is flying a drone in my house to give me a ticket for having non-missonary style sex with my wife?

Just get yourself a shotgun. That will take care of most LE style drones.

She loves doggie and facials. Well, at least when I'm doing it to her.

Is it legal to shoot them?
How high do your propery rights extend from the ground?

Probably not legal, but I think one could put one a fairly good defense to the charge. You can always claim you feared for your safety and the safety of your family. Just be smart about it. Unless the sops have a warrant, they are violating your Constitutional rights.

Cuius est solum, eius est usque ad coelum et ad inferos.

36 inches. I can fly my drone in anywhere above that height.

I don't know about "outlawed". There are gummint drones in Fx.

There was a large (industrial/military size) quadcopter flying with the traffic a couple months ago when I was driving down route 50 towards fairfax.

Today in Bailey's Crossroads some large airplane-style drone was flying around.

(I usually see the helicopter convoys doing whatever secret thing they're about, or some of the traffic going into National. This was a drone, flitting around to the northwest, and then flying off past where I could see anymore. Btw I'm watching from a hi-rise office and I am commercial rated airplane and helicopter pilot, so I do usually know what I'm looking at...)

Are they flying drones in the National Airport TCA? Are they allowed? I though all the space was controlled in this area due to being TCA?

They should have had a moratoreum on Microsoft Windows required in VA schools and California doing "tech work" in VA where unemployed people needed the jobs maybe?
