DC To Ban Styrofoam Food Containers

The ban does not apply to meat sales packages in grocery stores, Just Cups, boxes for food to go.
I would submit they should use stainless steel prison trays with a 5 dollar deposit on each So they would be picked up for cash.
The rivers are full of this shit. I have seen people in DC come out of a store and start unwrapping what they bought and throw the trash on the street then the bag. And it all washes off in heavy rains.

Don't worry. Some vacationing bonehead judge will rule that DC's styrofoam law abridges the Constitutional right to carry styrofoam. Especially the right of people from states that have more lenient styrofoam laws.

Good point. They've been fighting those for a long time now trying anything they can.

Not sure if this is still current, but clearly they're trying to kill the food trucks business downtown. Red is all the places they can't use for selling from trucks.

No, it's not current. Those are rules that the restaurant lobby proposed to the city council in March 2013. They died. This was part of a 2012-13 war between carts/truck and brick-and-mortar restaurants. A truce was finally reached in very different rules that were adopted by the city council in late 2013. They've been reasonably successful so far.
