Police investigate murder of 57-year-old Va. man

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the homicide of a 57-year-old Virginia man, who was found lying on the ground in NW, D.C. after an assault.
Police said they responded to an assault in the 2300 block of Wisconsin Avenue, NW, on June 21. They found 57-year-old Michael Hrizuk, of Arlington, Va. lying on the ground.
Hrizuk was taken to the hospital and died from his injuries on July 2, authorities said.
Police said his death has been ruled a homicide. The determined cause is blunt impact head injury.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at (202) 727-9099. Additionally, anonymous information may be submitted to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.
