GREAT FALLS, Va. (WUSA9) -- My Uncle Nick made quite the splash at our family reunion over the holiday weekend.

After seeing all the kids jumping off the diving board, Nick wanted a turn. He's 88-years-old...

He walked to the end of the diving board, and everyone thought he would simply jump off. That's when he decided to turn around and, unbeknownst to anyone, do a back-flip off the diving board.

My sister caught it on video, which you can see on her Instagram page. She also caught his daughter running after him in shock.

I'm happy to report that Uncle Nick survived the flip without a scratch! Nick works out daily, takes regular dancing lessons and plays the piano like a pro. At 88-years-old, he's the fittest grandpa I've ever seen!
