Vienna man hit with bottle in altercation over loud music

Vienna police dispatched officers to the 200 block of Cedar Lane, S.E., on June 26 at 10:01 p.m. after receiving a report about a fight in an apartment. A resident told police he was assaulted by his three roommates after he asked them to turn down their music. During the altercation, one of the roommates struck the resident with a bottle, injuring his head, police said.
A friend of the resident also was assaulted when he attempted to stop the altercation, police said. The three roommates fled the scene before officers arrived, authorities said.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department personnel arrived at the scene to treat the injured resident and transported him to an area hospital for further treatment. Vienna police continue to investigate this case.
