If any of you have positive or negative thoughts about them and would like to share please do.

To get things started here are my opinions about them.


From my own personal experience they are a bunch of narcissistic bastards who think they are better than everyone. Especially when they think they have a better understanding of how to live a happy life and how the universe works.

They make criticisms that people who choose to go to a four-year college or a trade school are a bunch of soulless and emotionless beings who are just trying to become part of the cold operation of cooperation in modern society. Hipsters feel they are superior with their high school diploma and their associate’s degree in psychology, sociology, or philosophy diploma from a community college like NVCC.

They seem to forget that the only reason why they are still able to have a place to sleep, food to eat, and money to spend for an associate’s degree is because the “cold” modern society they loathe and criticize so much is the very thing keeping them alive and educated to begin with. They have everything financially taken care of by thier permissive parents so it gives them to time to bitch and moan all day about the society we live in.

They think they can show up to any interviews with piercings all over their face, plaid shirts, skinny jeans, lip discs, earring studs, beanie hats, and tattoos all over their limbs. Then when they don’t get the job at Starbucks they moan and complain that the manger is a judgmental jerk. .

From my own experience hipsters are not innovating or taking the initiative to do anything. I would say 95% of hipsters are a bunch of posers and fakes who just want to be hipsters because they think it is an awesome fad.

The ones in my neighborhood all seem to come from the same mold:

They like to perform lewd acts and stunts out in public for fun instead of sports; they all seem to have delinquent tendencies or behavioral problems, they have WAY too permissive parents who can’t do parenting right at all and send their kids to Paul VI instead of military school when they get expelled from a public high school or expelled from the FCPS school system all together. The permissive parents don’t have the guts to spank and discipline them the right way.

Quite a few of the hipsters in my neighborhood have felonies and misdemeanors on their criminal record too. I am not talking about one felony or misdemeanor; most of them seem to have quite a few of them racked up. They seem to think that by converting from a delinquent or goth into a hipster is going to make them a better person and make their troubles go away.

They try too hard to act casual lounging at coffee shops with their crooked noses buried in a book they're not interested in, while being awkwardly and uncomfortably aware of their surroundings.

Their poodle hairstyle went out of fashion in high school.

They stink.

HIPSTERS: Upper-Middle Class youth, mostly Caucasian, who supported the #OccutardMovement and demanded that their debt be wiped away ASAP. Well excuse me, but maybe if you didn't major in Art History at Vassar, you'd probably have a fucking job by now and be on your way to paying down your debt.

Ohh...they also hate corporations, yet you can find them on their iPad at Starbucks with a shirt on they bought at Wally World just to look super ironic as they blog about social activism and other crap they could never hope to understand...fucking idiots.

Politically, Hipsters are the Left's answer to Tea Baggers; they're hypocrites, constantly bitching and moaning about something or somebody and are down right ignorant about 80% of the crap they talk about; they're also sheltered and have a sense of fucking entitlement the size of New York State.

I should note that not all Hipsters are of the aforementioned mindset (social and/or political) and/or background I painted.

I don't really care. I don't often actually see any around here, I only hear about them from the internet. I saw a bunch when I was in Kansas City, MO though. I guess they are a dying breed in NOVA? This area is mostly the Yuppie crowd. They bother me the most, thankfully they stay in and around the DC metro.

What's with the moustaches and owls?

In my neighborhood and I'm sure in many others. Most of the hipsters are troublemakers and have behavorial problems and became hipsters due to identity crisis issues.

The ones that aren't troublemakers are in thier mid 20's and live with thier parents and aren't in school or working or doing anything in thier life to move out and do something. They complain and judge others and forget that they are no better living with mom and dad all day doing nothing.

This is not bigoted or judgmental. It's not a stereotype it is a fact unfortunately, would be nice if it wasn't but it is.

If I were an heiress from a big-name old-money family nobody would kiss my ass more than a hipster. They'd whine constantly about capitalism and greed yet, only be with me because I came from it. Every hipster I've ever met, out of an hour of given conversation a good half of it was their bragging about their friend from the so and so or whatever family.

Once they get to be about 50 all they still are ever talking about is what their Mommy and Daddy did and what their friends Mommy and Daddy did, of course they never amount to shit themselves.

Full of crap one set of rules for themselves, hold everybody else up to societies standards.

( Oh, P.S- The yuppie lady with the coach bag they come slightly used, such as worn 3 times on Ebay for about $65, Horrid resale value but thanks bitch)

One last thing to add.

Hipsters can't seem to accept the fact that they need to earn a living.

They seem to think they can continue to depend on parents to support them or hope some technological breakthrough one day will support all the freeloaders.

Sorry Hipsters but no one is going to give away money to help support you with nothing in return.
