A man and woman arranged through a prominent Internet site to meet Sunday in Fairfax County, but it apparently did not go well, and the man was allegedly attacked with a high-heeled shoe, county police said.

They said a 21-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were arrested on prostitution-related charges.

Police said they went to a hotel in the 3100 block of Fairview Park Drive in the Falls Church area of the county about 6:30 p.m. Sunday after a fight was reported.

They said they determined that a man had responded to an advertisement on Craigslist and arranged to meet a woman at the hotel. However, police said, an argument broke out in a room over what police described as "missing money."

The dispute became physical, a police statement said, and the woman "allegedly assaulted the man with her high-heeled shoe."

Police said Briseida J. Barr, 24, of Las Vegas, was charged with prostitution and simple assault. They said Berkan M. Kansu, 21, of Falls Church was charged with solicitation of prostitution.

They said he was issued a summons, released and then taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.

Neither could be reached last night.

On its Web site, Craigslist describes itself as "local classifieds and forums" in more than 500 cities, on which "just about anything" can be found. It says the overwhelming majority of users are trustworthy and well-intentioned.

lol i work at that hotel and was here the night it happened. What happened was classic hooker double play. This douche comes into the hotel flashing 2-3 thousand dollars around at the bar, goes up to his room with this hooker - who by the way HE FLEW OUT HERE FROM LAS VEGAS!!! Anyways, they go into their room, and she asks for the money up front. From there, she pulled a classic hooker/hotel trick. She said that he did not pay her all of the money, and she demanded more, starting to cause noise, so there would be a complaint. Figuring that the john would be scared of getting introuble, he would just pay up.... but he didnt, he got pissed and started arguing back at her. She the FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT, and beat the fuck out of him, he left in an ambulance. The cops came, caused a scene, then left. It was a fun night to be working. Oh and some how, she came back to the hotel about 3-4 hours after she was arrested.... no idea how she got booked and released that fast. - maybe fairfax's finest got a little extra on the side to let her go.

oh believe me, we look the other way. Especially our hotel. We specifically cater to business travelers, we get little to no familys visiting (which is why we can charge out the ass for rooms). So as far as it goes around here, we look the other way, our clients privacy comes first. If we started ratting out john's then im pretty sure our clients would feel their privacy was violated. Which is the same reason if the cops ask us if a specific guest is staying here, we can not tell them without a warrent.

Some of my fondest memories over working in the restaurant businees years ago was the fights that would break out sometimes. Especially the ones between chicks.

Nope, just have spent enough time in Vegas clubs to know how it works. I'm too much of a prude to ever get involved in sex-for-money, but it's always a fun conversation if you know the scene. Man Arrested in Sexual Assault

A 23-year-old Virginia man was arrested last Friday for suspicion of a sexual assault, taken into custody in the 100 block of Coast Highway after an investigation by Laguna Beach police.

The previous day, police received a rape report from the Mission Viejo offices of Planned Parenthood, where a woman described meeting a man earlier at a restaurant in Laguna. While in his hotel room, she allegedly was sexually assaulted, said Sgt. Louis Callus.

Berkan Muzaffer Kansu was taken to Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail, said Lt. Jason Kravetz.
