Asphalt driveway patch repair
Posted by: Cracked Driveway ()

I don't want to pay to resurface my entire driveway (like 3Gs) but I want to get some cracks fixed. I want them cut out and asphalt patch put on.

Most companies I called are steep. Any recommendations on places that do this work?

Concrete is more expensive going in but better an cheaper in the long run. Also easier to do the work yourself if you're capable which then will come in cheaper than asphalt.

The patch kind of sucks. To do it right will probably not too far off just repaving. Short of that what they'll put down is not much if any better than you can do yourself and it will look crappy either way. In most cases what's causing it to crack is underneath - roots, loose pack, stress, drainage, whatever - so most likely it will just crack again in the same way. Get some of the better stuff from Home Depot and put it in there to keep the water and freeze cycle from making it any worse and forget about it until you're ready to replace/repave.

How long is that driveway ?
If its a townhouse, I'll do it for the cost of materials, and pizza and beer for the labor.
If its over 100 feet, throw in some Nats tickets.
Where u at?

I had this contractor come out and they did an excellent job
and was very reasonable. Actually cheaper than most contractors.

Once he did a look over and quoted me, he voluntarily gave me references.
Family owned business too..

They have smaller packages for smaller jobs, but see link. Works great!

SCAMMER ALERT

beware of the "local bull". it is a scam service that puts a coating that will last: 1 yr

they you have to repay next year again.

----------------
you have to hire a company to tear out your driveway and put it back in

tar driveways: ugly yet wickedly expensive. only someone selling maintenance would suggest it on a home project

Do NOT go to Haines paving from Herndon, VA, whatever you do. They're family owned and they're fucking scum. The owner, Garry, is a rude, half witted, fuck tard 90 something year old and his incompetent daughter does the estimates. His fat wife scowls all the time with a thousand yard stare on her unbearable face and smells like a dead hooker. They treat their clients like trash and their work is shit. As long as you go to anyone else, you should be okay.
