Plato felt that the average person is a complete idiot and doesn't have the ability to comprehend the complex issues that go into voting. That is why he believed that a benevolent despotism was the answer to government (group of people who do not own property and have nothing to gain). But our form of government is the opposite, where only the rich get to run because of financial constraints. But still people are too stupid to understand and they end up voting with their hearts. Libtardz.
