When are these filthy geezers going to get over themselves?

They come here every year for what? Make a bunch of fucking noise and create traffic mayhem. Yeah we get it that you all have a cause but find better way to bring attention to it. Over the years, the cause has been lost in the haze of partying and exhaust smoke. If you think clogging up the streets and polluting the air is doing anything for POW/MIA's you are out of your minds.

Just more downscale bozos thinking that their testosterone-driven narcissism ends up somehow being "patriotic". What a waste. Most of them are actually sociopaths.

I can easily buy a Harley and a black leather jacket to put some patches on. Why? So I can act like some wannabee biker on the weekends?

Not to mention why would I only want two wheels when I can drive a nice 4 wheel vehicle with a Sat radio and A/C.

I take my 66 Camaro and boat over a bike any day. I'd rather see hot women in bikinis on my boat than fat overweight herpe hags on hanging off bikes.

Teehee. You'll be able to smell them coming by Friday morning. Every year, the air quality is measured here over Memorial Day weekend. It is 57% worse than normal during this event -- not because of the motorcycles themselves, but because of the stench coming from all the "riders".

But on the plus side, it's a big boost to the food service economy. On average, 34.2 trillion calories consumed by "riders" during this event. It is also estimated that DC actually sinks 1.21 inches during this event due to all the extra weight (250lbs per "rider" on average).

Interesting stuff!

We're not saying screw our soilders or Vet's. Far from it.

We're saying that driving a bunch of motorcycles around DC to make noise and to honor VET's is a little silly.

How about we save all the noise and wasted gas money. Instead of driving motorcycles in circles we spend the day fixing up the VA hospitals.

You're being ridiculous. How will all the "riders" get attention if not by making noise? And what you also haven't considered is that fixing up hospitals would require physical exertion (i.e., exercise). These "riders" didn't get fat by exercising, I'll tell you that much.

There are plenty of local VA posts that are having BBQ's that don't have motorcycles.

Probably more gay closet "bikers" than at VA posts. Why do think there are very few women at biker events?

About average for biker women. Maybe a little on the heavy side. Usually the women are a little overweight and look like they have been driving trucks for years.

One thing I do know is that most biker women have been passed around a lot and they have some nasty pusseys. The smell will make you puke.

A went to Daytona bike. Besides a couple of paid promotional girls is was like seeing women from the backwoods of WV.

True. There are noise ordinances for mufflers but they are rarely enforced. Fairfax county prides itself on being an upscale quiet community.

The county is not the place for bikers to be running around causing problems.

Yes, they can be cited for noise violations if, like most motorcycles have done, they have switched out the exhuast from the manufacture exhaust.

§ 46.2-1049. Exhaust system in good working order.

No person shall drive and no owner of a vehicle shall permit or allow the operation of any such vehicle on a highway unless it is equipped with an exhaust system in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual levels of noise; provided however, that for motor vehicles, such exhaust system shall be of a type installed as standard factory equipment, or comparable to that designed for use on the particular vehicle as standard factory equipment. An exhaust system shall not be deemed to prevent excessive or unusual noise if it permits the escape of noise in excess of that permitted by the standard factory equipment exhaust system of private passenger motor vehicles or trucks of standard make.

The term "exhaust system," as used in this section, means all the parts of a vehicle through which the exhaust passes after leaving the engine block, including mufflers and other sound dissipative devices.

Chambered pipes are not an effective muffling device to prevent excessive or unusual noise, and any vehicle equipped with chambered pipes shall be deemed in violation of this section

§ 46.2-1051. Certain local governments may impose restrictions on operations of certain vehicles.

The governing body of any county, city, or town which is located within the Northern Virginia Planning District may provide by ordinance that no person shall operate and no owner shall permit the operation of, either on a highway or on public or private property within 500 feet of any residential district, any motorcycle, moped, all-terrain vehicle as defined in § 46.2-100, not being used for agriculture or silviculture production as defined in § 3.1-22.28, electric power-assisted bicycle, motorcycle-like device commonly known as a trail-bike or mini-bike, off-road motorcycle, or motorized cart commonly known as a go-cart unless it is equipped with an exhaust system of a type installed as standard equipment, or comparable to that designed for use on that particular vehicle or device as standard factory equipment, in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive noise.

Upside--they are here to honor the lost Veterans, and inspire the rest of the country with their massive presence.

Downside--for God's sake, buy some mufflers. Get the hell off the roads other than running to the cemetary. Stop trying to drive inside the Beltway when drunk.

Last year I heard that an entire floor collapsed at one of these shithole hotels -- too many "rider" fatties in one place. The police report estimated that over 69,521 pounds of "rider" blubber was on the one floor at once. Amazing!

I am well aware of the "errand boys" that drove vehicles around Iraq for a year that did not see a moment of combat or really contribute to the mission in any significant way that tout their "service in combat". Fuck that. Warriors are warriors and do not need/nor show the need for any recognition. Rolling Thunder is for posers...period.

Fairfax won't miss Rolling Thunder. There are going to be a ton of bikers at the Harley place off rt50.

They get boozed up there on Memorial Day weekend.

Visiting Patriot H-D on Friday (May 23rd) has become a tradition amongst out-of-towners looking to reunite with old friends and family. So this year at Patriot, Friday will have live music, Letterfly Pin Striping, Squealz on Wheelz (a Non-Profit BBQ org. that donates its profits to help veterans and their families), and VA Rigging for your patch sewing needs onsite.

On Friday evening at 5:30 pm, May 23rd, the Chapter rides to the Candlelight Vigil at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Activities continue on Saturday, May 24th, with the Patriot Harley-Davidson Open House (9:00 am -6:00 pm) where you may have your National H.O.G. membership card swiped to receive a commemorative pin for Rolling Thunder XXVII, buy a Ride of the Patriots 2014 commemorative T-Shirt from the dealership and the Ride of the Patriots 2014 commemorative coin and pin at the Chapter H.O.G. booth (while supplies last).

Visit the Patriot Harley-Davidson website for open house details.
Of course the most visible event is on Sunday at Patriot H-D when we honor our heroes and ride to Rolling Thunder. The weekend finale is a Chapter ride in the Falls Church Memorial Day Parade. For an account of Ride of the Patriots, please read this Patriot H-D Blog on the Ceremony and Ride.

Since you obviously suffer from Aspergers, in addition to your other personality disorders, Kilton, I thought you would submit the answer yourself...something like 5,856,473,886.614 calories

Very well said.

I've seen a few packs of these monkeys so far today. Finding one of them who isn't overweight, hairy, stinky, and balding is like finding Waldo.

Speaking of faggots and butt buddies, how about you just relax, gaylord...there's nothing that can make traffic any worse here, and all these riders will be gone in a few days...seriously, who gives a shit? It's not like someone is taking your seat at Kilroys. I'm a veteran, I don't ride a bike, and the connection between veterans and these riders seems tenuous at best, but you know what, I don't care!

Yep, this came up last year.

Number of POWs/MIAs found by Rolling Douchery as of last year: 0.0
Number found since then: 0.0

Support our troops huh?? By closing access to the Cemetary where they are buried so their families get screwed trying to visit on Sunday.

Thanks for the English lesson, Shakespeare. I didn't realize that there is no plural of the word minion. You should alert Merriam-Webster about their mistake. Dumbass.

Mike O'Meara, former country DJ, will probably be TRAILERING his Harley Mobile Living Room up for the weekend. And he will end up at Jimmy's Old Town Tavern getting hammered.
