Small lines at the polls

I was #28 at my station in Vienna. They had two voting booths, and one person standing outside with a flyer....

Yawn.

Unfortunately, most voters don't care during on-year elections. So sad.

I will vote later today, along with some of my neighbors. I hope others will too.

I voted for Sharon Bulova, not because of anything political.. I just like Bulova watches and I know nothing about the candidates otherwise.

Unfortunately, that's the mentality of many FFC voters.

My polling place had a steady flow of voters, no lines, but I was behind a couple of people and there were three or four waiting to get checked in when I was done. When I was pulling out of my parking space, another voter was arriving. So I think some areas are seeing a better turnout than others. It's still not even close to a presendentail race, but it's something.

Please vote! We are so blessed to live in a free country and exercise our right to vote. Think of those in the clutches of communism who are not fortunate to live in such a democratic society.

My heart swells with pride after I vote. I just feel it is my patriotic duty and a small way I can contribute to the betterment of society.

Democratic vs. Republican, Bulova vs. Herrity is irrelevant, just vote!

Vote for one of the independent dudes. With a total of 200 people casting votes, they have a good chance of winning

Vote for Herrity - he is not hot and has nothing to do with watches.

A new campaign slogan.

So, you voted just for the sake of voting?

I voted for George W. Bush, and my pecker swelled with pride at the feeling of voting.

Granted, I was in my kitchen, and my ballot was the back of an old bar receipt, but my pecker really did swell.

What I'm trying to say is, I have an erection. Where are the white women at?

I usually vote for the candidate with a history of drug abuse. Some times it's tough because both candidates have a drug history.

Low voter turnout always favors the republican..they count on it.

When I voted at 10:30, I was #168. There were a half dozen in line at the time and a few more checking in when I left.

I volunteered to drive people to the polls for a few hours. Everyone was waiting in front of their homes when I arrived.

Yes, because of the vacuum that is created in the atmosphere by their stressed-out sphincters around election time.

The lines must've been very short all day, I was #220 around 4:30. That's really low.

It's shame the turnout is low....it's a VERY important election.

A County Supervisor can have huge impact on our lives...certainly more than the President, Congressman, or Senator.

These people set taxes, land use and lots of other shit that directly affect every day life in FFX Co.

So true. But it doesn't have the glamour of a presidential election. There was a minor line at my polling place (5 people).

Actually, the voter turnout wasn't that bad considering it was solely for the purpose of electing the chairman of the board. 16% turnout for a county-wide election isn't great, but it isn't as bad as many other elections.

I certainly don't want someone voting if they don't have a clue about either candidate and many people don't understand what the board does or why they should care. Perhaps a campaign to educate the general populace would be beneficial, but you'd have to get sexy models and athletes in order to get anyones attention.
