MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA9) -- Manassas City Police arrested a 68-year-old man in connection with a hit and run accident that happened Thursday and left a woman in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said they met with a woman Thursday at 12:20 p.m. for a report of a hit and run accident. She told deputies she had been hit twice by a vehicle while crossing Brinkley Ln at Center St in the pedestrian crosswalk.
Deputies went with the woman to the hospital where she got treatment for non-life threatening injuries, police said. The suspect Michael P. Denigris, came forward and admitted to police he was involved in a hit and run accident.
Denigris, 68, of Bristow, Va. was charged with felony hit and run and is being held on a $2,000 bond. Police said his court date is scheduled for June 10, 2014.
