Here is a way back - Louis Allen died in May 1976. We cried until Gordon Barnes took over.

He was the only one that predicted the Blizzard of 66 correctly. Tech was a joke back then.

I remember my mom watching Louis Allen all the time. That was back when the weather guy actually drew the weather on the map. It says he was the only professional weatherman in Washington.

Louis Allen had only worked at Channel 9 (then WTOP) for two years when he died at the tender age of 63. He had worked at Channel 7 (then WMAL) for 19 years before that.

Heart attack at home got him. B-CC Rescue Squad tried to save him but couldn't.
