Hey I have a couple friends and family memebers that were locked up recently. I was wondering if fairfax county jail has an inmate search list so I can see if they are there or not. Also if theres a state wide search since I been trying to find another friend of mine that is locked up downstate somewhere but unsure exact location.

Why not call the county corrections facility? Heh, corrections facility. I just noticed how absurd a name that is. Corrections. We are going to 'correct' him. They are warehouses.

Corrections Facility, Inmate Warehouse, Taxpayer Toilet, all the same thing...

I wouldn't say they're losers just because they're in jail. If they fucked up once, that's one thing. If they're Boo-like in their approach to law and order, then yeah, I'll agree with you.

I think this question's been asked on here before, but I can't remember. Try doing a forum search, then call the jail and ask. The Google has also been known to provide assistance with these endeavors.

i don't know of any county one. the feds have a site to look up federal inmates too.

The Chinese have the right idea, take these vermin out and give them a bullet in the back of the head, then bill the families for the bullet. Fuck corrections and rehabilitation, a bullet in the head works much better. No criminals, no crime.

Call (703)246-2100; Follow the prompts for inmate information to find out if they are in Fairfax's custody.

Google "Fairfax County Magistrate" and "[whatever other jurisdiction] Magistrate" and you should be able to find phone numbers to call. If the Magistrate doesn't give out that info, then try the Sheriff's Dept in each jurisdiction.

It's a good possibly your friends and family are on the sex offender registry - check with that also.

These must be loooong lost friends and family members, right?

If any member of my family or current friends were in the slammer, I'd have known about it from the git-go.

^^yea they were family/friends that I kind of lost contact since they went the wrong route while I'm trying to stay focus with the college life. They understood but ever since they got locked up and I knew but I just have no clue where. So thats why I'm trying to figure it out so I can visit or write to them.

Basically I was trying to see if there is a search engine I could look them up but since that seems like it isn't an option I'll call. Thanks for those that helped..appreciate it

You want all criminals to be shot. Being convicted of a drunk in public, or a speeding ticket makes you a criminal.

Click on inmate locater on both of these pages. The feds will give you info on released inmates (release date), the state doesn't.

There's a bunch of online services that will do criminal backgrounds for a fee, I've never used one though.I've got rentals and I've got a friend that does the credit check for me. I run'em through the arrest/ticket search HERE to see if they've done anything I can't forgive and then run 'em through the sex offender one ( http://sex-offender.vsp.virginia.gov/sor/ ) just to be safe.

PS- the feds will sometimes not list the exact institutional location of an inmate if he's a snitch or security risk. VA state probably has a similar security check in place.

Snitches and federal witnesses are housed at Arlington County Detention Center.

The best site on the internet for doing inmate lookups is http://www.JailResource.com - They have every county jail in their system and an inmate search system for almost all of them. Good site and community for those of you that want to voice opinions.
