channel 7 morning traffic...she calls herself the gridlock goddess
i can't stand her. she cannot read aloud from the teleprompter. pauses in the middle of a sentence nad then runs the end of one and beginning of next togehtere so you lose context of what she is saying. plus she tried to improvise, and is new to the area and does not know the roads. i will listen to an entire traffic update and not be able to tell ayou a thing she said....was she hired just because she looks good?

LOL! I hate that she uses the name gridlock goddess. That in itself is annoying. I also can't hear half of what she says b/c of the lead in sound effects of horns honking and what not that lasts for about half of her segment.
I don't pay much attention to traffic b/c it's not relevant to me since I work so close to home but now I'm going to watch and see if I notice what you're talking about.

totally agree about the lead in problems...who needs to hear horns and traffic anyway? that's what i'm trying to avoid in the a.m.

She not only pauses in the middle of sentences but pauses in the middle of nearly ever word. All of the other traffic reporters in the area are so good at reporting the traffic I have no idea why she's still on the air. We watched channel 7 morning news for years but have now changed because we can't stand to hear her try to speak. To top it off is her "gridlock goddess" name, sounds like something a nickname a teenager would have. All of the professionals use first initial last name?

All the other local traffic reporters are ugly (9 is okay, but with a big ass), so they found a blonde with tight little tits that must have been okay in Richmond and brought her in.
It appears she is not willing to put in the time to learn the local roads, though. That's stupid, because colleges are churning out 200 blondes a year who are just as good or better looking, younger, and willing to learn the roads.

Now guys, I have worked with Ms.Meadows for a long time. We used to lead the weather reports for Anderson Cooper 360. Go easy on her, she is a very professional reporter, and quite a steed in bed, which I ride every night.

you didn't think she was that bad, she was terrible reporting the traffic. Jack and/or any of the other traffic reporters do such a great job of presenting the traffic, we've enjoyed channel 7 the last 2 weeks without having to hear her try to speak!

If it's true that she's gone for good, I wish her the best of luck but I'd cringe & change the channel every time she'd try to spit out the news. Certainly if you're not from the area it'd be hard learning all the various route names but are these traffic reporters not reading from a teleprompter or something? She would also make these weird pauses as she spoke. I just didn't get it, especially for this market. She always seemed stiff & like a deer caught in headlights. But I guess that may be part of why we haven't seen her on the air lately. If she has a speech impediment as someone else alluded to than I wish her all the luck in pursuing her career.

Amanda was terrible and listening to her was painful. I hope that her problem was only the fact that she did not know the roads, but to me it seemed that she was uncomfortable in front of the camera. I wish her well in her new profession.

i wish her well, but YES she was SO difficult to listen too! i don't think i t was a speach impediment was it? if so, she chose the wrong career path! i was so appalled and mezmerized at the way she spoke and those weird poauses and they way she dreew words out that i'd find i couldn't remember a word ssshe had said

I thought she would drive me crazy with those pauses, and then talking so fast you could not understand anything she would say, but I would watch just to see what she would say and how she would say it. Gaitherssssssssssssssburg! Cracks me up! Plus I would bop the living daylights out of it!!@~

I looked at this chick's Twitter feed, and she's still spewing out traffic reports! Not only from DC, but from Richmond and Hampton Roads, too. Is she sitting in a cardboard box under a bridge retweeting VDOT and posting photos of traffic? She can't be making any money right now.
