Recommendation to all regarding cell phone store

Hello all. This is my first post on this forum.
Anyways. I am here to tell you about a great experience i had at a AT&T store in Burke (on Old Keene Mill Road).
So my family and I wanted to upgrade our phones (we were and still are with ATT). So my mother and I went to the AT&T store (its an AT&T Authorized Retailer) to look at what deals they had for people who can upgrade their phones. The manager at the store was very nice, helpful, informative and he explained everything were anyone could understand what he was talking about.
The manager said since we were repeating customers at that store, he would take off the $18 activation fee per phone (5 total). We wont have to send in mail and rebates because they know people dont like them.
When the family got new phones a few weeks later, they (people working at the store) explained which phones out of the ones we wanted were good and bad based on people complaining or complementing the phones to them.
We paid the lowest price (free) with our phones. The phones were free after mail and rebates. Since the store know people hate mail and rebates, they make the people pay the lowest price after mail and rebates but with no rebates.
Basically, if you need to upgrade your AT&T phones, pay an AT&T bill or switch to AT&T, this is the place for you.

Congratulations.
BTW, not a very good plug for your store. What is a "mail and rebate?"

That story is FEROCIOUS!! DO you have any tips on how to save $5 at other places around town. Basically what I'm saying is I'd like to hire you to be my financial consultant - quit your "AT&T" gig and work for me. I'll give you a raise...$10 an hour.

i have actually bought a few phones from that store. The manager is pretty cool and did give me discounts for being a repeat customer. However I do feel that cell phone companies rip you off with theyr contracts and phone prices.

I can't help but laugh out loud at this post...but I'm glad SOMEONE had a good experience here.
I dealt with this store and its criminal manager and employees a few weeks ago. I went in with a question about upgrading, because the website said I was eligible. The employee checked my account and said I wasn't eligible so I left. I called customer service a few minutes later to see why this happened and they said it showed that I had just upgraded my phone and walked out the door with a brand new one! I was in shock and told her what happened.
The employee made up a complete bullshit story about calling my mother (the account holder) to get permission to perform the upgrade and sell me a brand new (expensive) phone. None of this ever happened. For those of you who don't know, the authorized retailers have nothing to do with ATT, they are just retailers who work off of commission.
I went back to the store to have them straighten the situation out, and the employee who performed the 'upgrade' was hiding in the back and I sat outside of the store for about a half hour waiting for him. His boss claimed he was having stomach problems. When we threatened to call the cops he came out and received a talking to from the ATT corporate headquarters. The employees were reported and I haven't seen the one there since.
ATT itself is a very good company and I will only do business by phone from now on. They sent me a new phone as a result of this ordeal and were very helpful.
If I were you, I wouldn't deal with these criminals on Old Keene Mill...but that's just me.

I do not work there. I never intend to work there. All i have had good experience with that store and i was recommending the store for others.
Satisfied customer- It sucks that happened to you. My experience was opposite of yours. Heck you could have been dealing with a dumbass. The manager did make a mistake by saying he had "stomach problems.
Customer- agreed. Cell phone companies do rip you off with their prices.
