what happens to fairfax when shtf ?

would think the crowded areas are hell in a handbasket...
if you live in a cul de sac with woods and river nearby, should have plenty of deer, turkey, fish, and the propane tanks but that won't last long...

what then ?

Aslong as you cut off the potomac river crossings you wouldn't have to worry as much about DC residents fleeing in the short term.

You aren't going to be self sufficient in a townhouse, and good luck trying to traverse the roads here to your survivalist homestead.

There's no chance in hell you'd have enough deer and turkey around here to survive for very long. Especially once you start trudging around and firing guns on a daily basis. Heck, even Daniel Boone's party scared off so much game they had to travel 10-20 miles just to bag something. And they were in the wilds of Kentucky where nobody lived.

Just move out to the boonies now. Then when something happens, you will already be away from the hordes.

And get a job where you can work from home. That way you don't have to worry about being in traffic trying to make it home.

Or just start banking money so you can retire early.

My weakest link will be my wife and children. Other than that, I can set traps, start fires, build shelters, survive hand to hand combat, I have multiple weapons and know quite a few tricks!

I'm not a hoarder, and if the REAL shit were to hit the fan it would do you no good to shelter in place. You would be a sitting duck for anyone else that wanted to pilfer your stuff! Chaos will happen in my lifetime, it's just a matter of when.
