A woman living on John Marshall Drive, N.E., informed Vienna police on March 8 at 4:03 p.m. that her son had locked himself in his bedroom and would not respond to her requests to open the door.

A Vienna police officer responded and after several unsuccessful attempts to communicate with the son, he forced entry into the bedroom. Once in the bedroom, the officer determined that the son was unresponsive and summoned the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department.

Two more officers arrived at the scene and immediately began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation in an attempt to revive the son from his unresponsive state. County rescue personnel responded and transported the son to an area hospital, where a doctor determined he was deceased. A Vienna detective will follow up on this case, police said.

True, if you believe the Mom's story. If this is indeed a suicide, that would mean this would be another student committing suicide. Anyone who this was?

I don't even know how old the boy was; he could've been 5 or 15.

That's true too. I can't find anything else in the news about it. Seems like it would get more attention from the local news groups. The Patch doesn't even have anything on it.

Might have been a drug related overdose. when this happens everything is hushed up so that they can try to investigate, trace the sources and do investigations in the schools involved where there may be the source of a problem.

A strange chemical was found in his blood similar to MDMA or Molly possibly manufactured in China.
