This didn't happen in Fairfax, but in Haymarket, but I need your help...

Yesterday, there was a tall black man going door to door warning us to move our cars because his wife doesn't like looking out the window and seeing cars parked on the road. We live inside a gate community, and we explained that we have only our cars (parked on our side of the road). What right does she have to complain about cars parked across the street from her?

A neighbour and I followed him back to his house to get his address. Very strange that he would go around the neighbourhood complaining about other people's cars that aren't even anywhere near their property.

Well, frankly yes they do shit like this. Another neighbor told me, he interupted a BBQ they were having with their family from out of town. One time this guy opened our front door after knocking. I actually "caught" him trying to step into my home. The sheriff's department did nada about it, even after I complained. When I saw this today, I immediately knew who it was.

People blaming the victim. Black or White guy comes to my door with crappy complaints I'm not bending over for him.

He came back tonight and got into an argument with my son, asking us to move our car. Problem is, the car he was asking us to move (blue car) doesn't belong to us!

I called the police and they told me that they've already gotten complaints from two other neighbors on our street.

Send him a no trespassing letter certified mail. Then when he comes back to gripe about your legally parked car, go get a warrant.

I know that place. It's actually a smaller home in the community. The reality is, the community has sent out notices where people should be considerate and not keep their cars parked in front of neighbor's houses. I wonder if it was this guy who got the news item to be published?

The street and section where his place is located, does not permit too many cars to be parked on the street. The smaller homes have a smaller street too that doesn't seem as wide as normal.

This guy just seems like one who has too much time on his hands.

I spoke to the HOA on Monday and they told me there is no restriction for parking on the road (other than parking next to fire hydrants, traffic signs, etc.) none of which applies here. Furthermore they provided this link to the policy they follow, which is the same for Prince William County:

Since these are all working vehicles parked on the road, none of them fall into the category listed in the link above. This is clearly harassment by a pair of home owners against their neighbors, who are parked legally on the road.

I'm about 6 doors down on Seneca.

What are they going to do when all that plush local real estate gets taken over and bought up totally by the hoards of illegals when the economy gets going again in the future? They have this to look forward to: Every house in their upper class quiet alcove, (gated or not) barrio (ie., 'hood) gets bought up by Mexican Drug Mafiosi or Mexican entrepreneurs who then sublet each of their new houses to as many undocumented workers as they can fit mattresses in on the floor space available, charging each one $50.00 a month rent. Each one will have at least one car or bicycle to begin with, and very soon after starting work, one crew truck at the beginning; then you can look forward to a scene of additional cement mixers, vans with 16 ladders on the top, a paving machine or two, a few large carts holding manure and super-sized riding mowers, tool trucks, etc. No matter how big the front yard is at each of these properties, there is no way that the 20-30 inhabitants in each newly minted "flop house" will have a place for ALL of their "multiplying/multiple)" vehicles. Whoever has a strip of pavement still left open in front of their house--and yes, a LAWN-- will be targeted for the desired parking spaces!!! (If you want a preview, check out the neighborhoods in Sterling Park and Herndon--they USED to be nice quiet neighborhoods 20 years ago. So, count your lucky stars that you still have a house to yourselves, and try to work with your local representatives in the state legislature and local authorities to legislate funding for treating mental illness issues in Virginia.
If the wife of this neighbor is freaked out with seeing cars parked on the local streets, get your local HOA involved and see if they have a law against that for your community. If not, then she has no reason to freak out by the sight of a car parked along the road if it is not parked in front of her place. If there is a law that says you must keep vehicles off the side of the access roads (and in many places they do that so that in case there is a fire, a fire and emergency vehicle can access the house and fire hydrant to save your property in an emergency), then you may have to take steps to alleviate anyone having to park there, ie. adding a garage or a driveway around your (or the neighbors house if they are involved) that will allow multiple vehicles to be accommodated..

In another recent post someone complained about the law in Fairfax that makes it illegal to park within 10 feet of a driveway. Everyone trashed him and told him not to park in front of someone elses house. But I guess if the homeowner complaining about people parking in front of their house is black then he is dangerous and you should call the cops.

This is different because it's PW County, and per the PW County website its okay to park on the street so long as its not in front of fire hydrants, etc. (see link below)...

PWC laws don't fully apply in a private community. The streets are not public streets.

The HOA told us straight up that we could park on any of the roads so long as we were parked next to fire hydrants, blocking driveways, etc. In fact, they even provided the same exact link to PW County as the poster above did to reference.

I live in the community and I hate this guy. They have a nasty little dog that barks and bites at little kids walking by their house. He comes out often to complain about parking on the street, which the OP is right, is okay per the HOA and PW County. This guy is an example of a nigger that thinks he owns the whole community. He and his fat ass wife are really to much.

He's not that bad. After I talked to him the last time and told him the HOA said it was okay (and I told him the PW County allows people to park on the road), he hasn't bothered us since.
