W. Springfield beat Centreville by 8 tonight in the Region semifinals. The game was lost in the last 20 seconds of the first half. Centreville had the ball and behind by only 4 points. They opted to take a wild shot with 15 seconds on the clock, missed, fouled W. Springfield who made a free throw, got a rebound on the second miss, and scored at the end of the half to lead by 9. It was a bad Centreville coaching decision or a selfish player decision to shoot by Centreville with so much time on the clock. Centreville then proceeded to take hurried and bad shots in the second half. Do the players listen to the coach or do they do what they want?

Centreville GBB had their best season in YEARS, yet OP is unhappy and puts in on a forum seemingly looking for validation of his/her displeasure. This is yet another example, IMO, of a larger societal problem; don't receive the imstant gratification one is looking for, just go complain, which is your right to do of course, but do it anonymously instead of going to the head coach. Hide behind an IP address, or an email from a recently made fake account.

If you are unhappy, apply for the head coaching job. Or, if you're afraid you won't be considered because you are not a teacher, go back to college and - assuming you have graduated previously with a degree - you cold become one in just two short years. You will have a better chance of landing a head coaching job. Plus, in today's society, our teachers are held in such high regard, and are shown incredible respect.

The self worth and pride you will feel as a teacher AND a head coach is absolutely phenomenal.

Yeah right. LOL

The real question is: could the Centreville girls BB win in a matchup against the Centreville boys BB?
