Blasts in Reston?

About 10 minutes ago I heard a blast that sounded distant. A few minutes later I heard a second blast/shot that sounded closer. I almost expected the power to go out since it sounded somewhat like a transformer blowing. I could hear it over the TV. Anyone else?

We heard it too (off of South lakes dr near Reston pkwy). Would love to know what it was.

No, didn't hear it. I'm near Reston Parkway. There is a helicopter buzzing, though.

I've been listening to the police scanner but haven't heard any mentions of calls about it.

I heard exactly the same thing, sounded like a shotgun blast almost? Saw a police helicopter fly over too. We're on Lake Thoreau and helicopter was heading towards Reston Pkwy direction.

Most likely was something to do with the power grid since the scanner still hasn't mentioned anything about it.
