Time to clean house of teacher perverts, starting with pflugrath

discussion about mike pflugrath (former woodson coach, now at south county) came up again here after pervert incident with kallick at woodson. everyone seems to know mp was sleeping with students at woodson - the tennis girl, the girl in leadership (don't want to "out" them) but he still has a job. what he did was much more serious than kallick and he was let go. there is a boys club wall of secrecy among the basketball coaches and the dsa's but they talk about it here and it's been the buzz again. ask doug craig, the current coach. he knows. ask the student athletes from early to mid 2000's. they know. ask the dsa at the time tom casey. he knows. pathetic. tried to tell authorities - IS ANYBODY LISTENING?????

Woodson math teacher: You are not alone in your outrage. For a period of almost 10 years, beginning in the late 1990s, Mike Pflugrath used his position as a popular teacher, coach, and leadership class advisor to victimize young women. His pattern was always the same--he would start grooming them during their sophomore or junior year and then step up his game gradually until he'd finally get physical with them as seniors or shortly after graduation. Anyone remember him crashing beach week? I'm getting sick writing this . . He is a predator, and I wouldn't be surprised if he went on to do the same thing at South County. The fact that no girls ever came forward to report his advances only goes to show how skilled he was at grooming his victims. He is a sick man who knows how to deceive people, his employers, his community, his family, his wife. I only wish FCPS had contacted me during one of their investigations into Mike Pflugrath's "extracurricular" activity. I would've written them a book.
