Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Im looking to buy my first car which I want to be a pick up truck. I am curious if anyone on here has a relative, parent, grandparent that is trying to get rid of one at a relativity low cost. Please dont bs me Im just asking around. Thanks!
Good luck. A decent truck at a good price is hard to find. Trucks hold their value very well. Even when they're beat to hell people still buy them as work trucks. Unless you get lucky and run across an unusual case, then you're going to have to spend a long time hunting to find any kind of deal and you'd better be there quick when you find it cause they go fast. Otherwise, you're just going to have to open up your wallet if you want something good and now.

There is a counter-culture in Fairfax that chooses to flaunt its wealth by buying trucks and SUVs rather than expensive cars. You can recognize them as they hardly ever use the vehicles in the way intended. The problem is that, as F250 indicated, trucks do tend to maintain their value well. If one of these hits the lot it tends to get snapped up fairly quickly. A redneck may not need to have a truck in cherry condition, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't appreciate it.
To OP: Try asking trade in managers and also people who handle repos. You might also want to check out auto auctions as well.
