Back to school party

So my neighbor invite me to her house on Tuesday for a back to school party! It's starts at soon as the kids get on the bus . This is common ?

HELL YES GO! If you are invited. The Tuesday "Back to School" parties are the best. My college roommate's wife has done a Tuesday party the last three years. I'm an airline pilot so I just schedule Tuesdays and Wednesday off(Not allowed to fly the day after.)

My wife doesn't drink, I just say I'm going golfing. Some of her friends were at the party last year and DW said nothing. Not sure if the friends of her said something about me being at the party. The party was hush hush so...

Bring stuff that kids would like to the party. I bought cupcakes last year. YES cupcakes that I bought at Safeway. You'd be surprised where icing on cupcakes can be licked from.
