I guess that leaves me confused - I thought the State's Attorney skipped the grand jury process. I dont know enough about the law to say for certain but I thought the Grand Jury was used do decide whether or not to charge. they have been charged. Chicago Tribune seems to agree with that - "Mosby bypassed a grand jury, declaring unflinchingly that she had found probable cause to file the charges herself. "
