I looked at the Va Tech schedule for the bowl game today and it really doesn't list a channel or radio station.

Does anybody know if this will be on TV or on the Radio locally? If not, will a local bar have it on?

That's a late start just to see VT lose... anything else on at 8:30?

No other VA team in bowl games, so I have to pull for VA Tech to defend the State reputation.

It's the Orange Bowl and a BCS game, ofcourse it's televised. Every bowl game is. It's on Fox along with everyother BCS game except the Rose Bowl which is on ABC. ESPN Radio will also have every BCS game.

Well looks like you got your first prediction right steve. Damn PSU looked like they matched up, tied at 7 through 1, then 24 unanswered points for USC. If their was a playoff, no doubt USC would win it every year.

Sugar Bowl has more potential to be a close game than most of the rest. Alabama is a top notch team and will probably win, but I could see Utah pulling off a win. I sure wouldn't recommend sleeping on U of U.

Utah (undefeated) beat Oregon State, something USC (#4?) couldn't do. Yes, USC is beating the pants off Penn State, but Oregon State did a nice job on Nebraska in its bowl game too.

You never know how a team's going to do, but I'm pulling for the U.

I think the BCS is bullshit. I think it is bullshit that USC isn't in the national Championship game. I think it is bullshit that the NCAA keeps adding meaningless bowl games (Eagle Bank Bowl, for instance) that virtually no one attends to generate sponsorships and to fill time on content-hungry networks like ESPN that will run "Women's Fastball" and "Strongman Competitions" and "Lumberjack Games" without them.

Yea, I'm pulling for Utah aswell, but am going with the safe pick in Alabama. Playoffs would be so much better. Here is my mock playoff. 8 teams. You start a week earlier. Final 4 first Saturday after new years. Championship the next week. The 6 major conference winners still get in, with 2 at large bids. The ACC and Big East do not deserve spots but you have to give them spots.

This year, Utah and Texas would get the at-large spots. Alabama does get snubbed, but Utah earned a right to play in the tourney. Then you still have quality teams left for other bowl games.

1. Oklahoma vs. 8. Virginia Tech
2. Florida vs. 7. Cincinnati
3. Texas vs. 6. Utah
4. USC vs. 5. Penn St.

At least a team would be able to control its destiny. It is ridiculous that USC gets dinged so badly for an early loss in the season while other teams fair better because the loss is later in the season when the teams they face are ranked. USC has to pay the price because no one predicted Oregon State would be ranked this year. It's absurd.

Only one NCAA team is undefeated. Way to go Utes. So much for Barry Switzer and his unbeatable SEC.

The Utes dismantled 'Bama. Once again, another reason for a play-off system. Utah could be the best team in college football. However, we will never really know, will we?

Kyle Wittingham and the Utes proved what even Barach Obama can see - we need a play-off system. Utah is #1.

When you go 13-0 and beat 'Bama in a BCS Bowl it is extremely hard t oargue you do not deserve a shot at the national championship. If Utah does not get a shot and Boise State did not two years ago, I think it is safe to say a non-major conference team will never get a shot at a national championship in the current BCS system, and thats a darn shame.

Not only did the Utes beat Alabama. They beat them handily. I loved watching Nick Saban have his meltdown on the sideline, screaming at the 19-year-old towel boys. What an ass.
