Call from (760) 423-1100?

Did you get a call from (760) 423-1100?

It is a debt collector company called Marauder. There is a Fairfax warrant out for the guy, Ryon Gambill, who runs the company.

The guy has been convicted of harassment.

Called CPS is this colllection agency in CA. Was transferred to Ryans voicemail, left him the option of calling back to discuss this case. I hope others are curious if he has some sort of response to this, and if they or he would discuss it.

Ryon Gambill and his various companies such as CPS often harass people for debts they do not owe. A little Google will tell you that. He got sued for millions by a payday company when he tried collecting their debts for himself.

So be careful with this guy he will take money he doesn't deserve.

It looks like someone here in Fairfax complained and the result was this warrant.

Yup, a lot of debt collection agencies are now being sued and the owners charged with harassment for telephone calls. Debt collection is a shitty job and basically the companies lose their shirts trying to collect.

Being in debt collection takes a certian type. Its like working at the lost luggage counter at the airport... you just KNOW its gonna be a shitty day.

That's not always the case. Sometimes these debt collectors call people all the time who've already paid their bills. I've had experience with a "Debt collector's" harassing phone calls, they call my house at least five days a week, sometimes multiple times a day, and it's for a bill that was paid-off eight years ago.

Have you told them that the bill was paid off a long time ago and that they're wasting their time? I would imagine they would stop calling you once they know there is no money to be collected.

This is from the lawsuit against these guys by the pay day loan company. See for yourself.

And it IS amusing to call CPS on (760) 423-1100. I did and "Agent Tucker" told me that CPS is an honest company with enemies who make things up. He told me that the arrest warrant is a fake.

He wanted to know where I saw it. I told him FFX Underground. He told me they would have the Fairfax Police close the site down!

Um.......no they wont.

I've been getting collection calls for an Ali Samir for over a year on my cell.

I even had one person tell me to fax them my name, address, SS# to a total stranger so they could "remove me from their list". Didn't do it. They still call, I just don't answer their number anymore.

So "telling" a collections agent anything on the phone changes nothing in their eyes.

Here he is, role model for collectors everywhere: Ryon Alan Gambill, of 75142 La Sierra Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92211.
http://ryongambillwatch.blogspot.com/

Gambill is the CEO of the Marauder Corporation and publisher of software package Bill Collector in a Box

On December 28, 1998, Ryon Gambill pled guilty to two violations of California PC 653M(A) (Harassing by Telephone). A copy of the Riverside County conviction document is presented for your examination.

As you can see, Gambill was also charged with extortion under California PC M524.

At this point, there is no doubt that Ryon Gambill is a convicted criminal.

All right then. I guess I was wrong in this instance. I just figured that collections agents would allocate their time in areas where they thought they had the best chance of actually getting something but several people in this thread have posted that telling them the debt has been paid off has not stopped the calls so I stand corrected.

You know, I'm almost for any type of gainful employment, even if it involves shoveling shit or anything else for that matter. But collection agencies and those who run them, or work for them, they are somewhere lower on the food chain than cockroaches. No offense to the bugs.

Any debt collector that calls is a total lying pieces of shit. Of course they say this site is a scam.

I have helped others handle debts and debt collectors. All debt collectors are fucking scum. Whether or not you owe any debt, do the following. All of these steps are rights provided to you by the FDCPA. Successful collectors do not follow the FDCPA.

1 Get the company name, caller name and their phone number before continuing. Do not answer any of their questions, provide any information, or continue until they provide their contact information. If they refuse, they're extra scummy... so keep it at an impasse.

2 Specifically forbid them from contacting you via telephone for any reason.

3 Demand that all correspondence occur in writing with no exceptions.

(Their not honoring these requests helps you get rid of them.)

4 Keep written track of all interaction.

I have never had overdue debt. Doing this was the only way I could stop some mistaken stupid collector after harassing me for years because I had a similar name to some deadbeat. I had to get the FTC, the state attorney general and the BBB on their ass. If I was bored and had time to deal with it, I could have gotten some money via small claims.

Well it must be starting time in Palm Desert, CA.

They have called here before and just called twice. They say they have an urgent case with an employee. We never heard of the employee.

They asked for our address and when we would not give it, they said they would call the Arlington Police on us. We can't wait.

When the topic of the outstanding Fairfax warrant for Ryon Gambill was brought up, you could hear the fury over the phone. They said that the person who made the complaint was imprisoned. But could they name the person, no of course not.

I got a call from these assholes the other day, they asked for my wife. I screen all of our calls with a question or two, I asked what the call was about. The guy said that " we are a collection company " and we will need to speak to your wife immediately, I kind of laughed and asked what the debt was and to who. The guy said that it was none of my business and would only speak to my wife, I asked him to tell me my wife’s name and he got very angry and demanded that I put my wife on the phone. That’s when I said oh ok let me get her, I did this in almost a whisper. He asked me to speak up and I said that I was speaking normal. I then reached over and grabbed my canned air horn, put the bell of the horn to the receiver and let loose. These assholes wear head sets, so there is a speaker either on or in his ear, so with this said and done he ended up with a ringing ear out of the deal. They haven’t called back, and besides we are debt free and owe nothing except for the utilities.

Not now, but later on. At the present time, I am very close to springing a surprise trap on him.

He keep on moving (what little assets he has) amongst various shell corporations in different states in order to dodge the trail of other judgment holders like myself.

I find it ironic that he and his cronies keep telling the people they call to harass: "PAY YOUR BILLS, DEADBEAT!!", yet he owes millions in judgements to corporations and individuals like me. He should practice what he preaches and should learn how to pay his own fucking bills .. what a hypocrite!

Then he said we should settle the debt as we were also responsible. "Agent Jones" was told to go engage in the act of procreation with himself.

"Agent Jones" said the "local law enforcement fraud task force" would be raiding us later today for our failure to cooperate.

We're terrified.

It is a mystery how they stay in business, who is stupid enough to just send off money through Western Union?

Yes, I had the same experience. I owed on cable bill. I paid it off. The bill apparently never got removed and has been past around from collector to collector.

I've sent letter after letter, proof of the debt being paid off and they still call at all hours. They call my cellphone three times a day.

Just for a hoot, as my user name says, I called (760) 423-1100. They have quite an elaborate voicemail system.

Anyhow, I finally got a real live person. I told them I wanted to know more about the company. The guy, who said he was "Investigator Allman" claimed to work for a debt collection task force run by the courts.

I told him I read about arrest warrants and all sorts of things. He wanted to know where I read this. I told him on FFXU. He went ballistic and said that he would get the Fairfax Police to close the site down.

Then he asked if I had a debt with the company. I said no. He said I was harassing the company and he would press charges. I would not give him my name, he said he was a "master detective" and he would find me.

So it is official, "Investigator Allman" has started looking for me on April 11. I told him to post his results to FFXU. I told him I'd report mine.

Same stuff as above. Some old debt, pay by Western Union.

Translation: The warrant and other materials at the beginning of the thread are probably real and the company will look to contact Cary and try to have it removed. The problem is they would have to prove the document is fake.

Here's some more real stuff Ryon Gambill won't like.

First, it seems he is no stranger to Federal lawsuits. He loses or settles all of them.

His bankruptcy is a joke, it was dismissed as he tried to defraud the bankruptcy court.

Then, his company. It gets sued more than he does. Often a co-defendant with Experian.

Experian keeps asking for permission to mediate by phone. Sometimes they win sometimes they lose. This Abril Bedarf Turner is a piece of work.

The real name of the company is Marauder Corporation, but it seems he spoofs caller id to show CPS. People think it is child protective services and freak out. His story is that there's some other company called Check Protection Services.

The guy is a loser, the only bigger losers are people who send him money.

These people are calling a back office line at a dental clinic. We told them that and that we never heard of the person they want. They said they would have the American Dental Society investigate us.

The real laugh was the call when they pretended to be the person's insurance. We don't take insurance.

We also told them that if Ray Wrightsman (the guy who works there with the criminal record for domestic battery) had knocked his wife's teeth out, we'd replace them for free. Oh did that get them going.

These people have one business model. Call a number, claim a debt is owed, demand payment by Western Union, or else.

They called last week. They called today to confirm the payment. I told them I sent it and made up a confirmation code.

They called back in about 10 minutes and said the confirmation code was fake. They said they had reported me to the FBI who were on their way.

I called Western Union, who sounded concerned and asked me to put the whole thing about these people in writing. I will do it later.

But I don't know who is the bigger loser, these people (Ryon Gambill and company) or the people who pay them. These debts are all fake.

He would have been in collections leading up to the foreclosure. His agency, Marauder Corporation, only did payday loans. No bank would trust Ryon Gambill due to his criminal record.

So now he is without a home, probably living with his new girlfriend, Christina Troll, and yes, that's her real name. Google them, you will see that they go to a lot of rehab events together.

It is not known if he still has his Experian access or not. I'll bet that Abril Bedarf Turner, who was the advocate for Gambill and Marauder within Experian, has been doing a lot of explaining lately.

But, when he calls, tease him about his foreclosure and his girlfriend's funny name.

I asked, if they're such great debt finders, how did Ryon Gambill lose his house in foreclosure, they said it was all a mistake and he's moving back in. I said well there's pictures of an empty house on the realtor's site.

They tried to change the subject to asking for money. I told them to come get it, or is Ryon Gambill afraid because of his Fairfax Warrant. The guy said the magistrate had been blackmailed into issuing it.

I told them I would not pay and if they wanted to go to the next step they'd have to sue and we'd just see about the magistrate. The guy hung up.

I was not playing the victim. Apparently I owed over $2000 for a Bally's broken contract. People, I will admit I am too lazy to even walk though the door of a fitness club!

Because I didn't volunteer to automatically pay, I played along with it. I told her what would happen if I didn't pay. She said my county's sheriff would pay me a visit with a subpeona. I tell her, well, I will wait for his visit before I send them anything.

She ends the call, "Good luck."

So, three months later, no sheriff and no more phone calls. But others that complained they were contacted more than once, even at work. Lord knows how they get work numbers.

So....if anyone gets a call, play with them!! If I had enough time I would have told them I WAS a lawyer and give her some shit.

I got a boost Mobile phone but did not port over my number. Maybe now I will.

The very day I got the phone, calls came in from this (760) 423-1100. I found it here and many other sites.

Finally I answered. Sure enough, they want me to go to Western Union and pay for a car title loan.

I asked a lot of questions about Ryon Gambill. His foreclosure, his bankruptcy, his arrest warrant, his convictions all of that. Boy did the guy get mad. The guy said, hey this is a 571 number, Virginia, do you read that Fairfax Underground?

I told him yes and he told me the site is illegal that the owners are hackers and have this information illegally. I told him I was not going to pay. He said the police would lock me up. I told him, well fine, bring them on.

He said they would be out in a day or two. Then I asked him about Ryon and his girlfriend, Christina Troll, why they go to so many rehab meetings. The guy blew up and told me that someone hacked his facebook page. I said, wait, is this Ryon and he said yes and to leave Christina out of it. I said, well, I feel sorry for you as she is ugly.

He said he would come visit me in jail. I hung up on him.

They've been calling on and off for a payday loan (which I don't remember so it could be fake) from the 1990s.

Today I told them there's a new Virginia law coming into force that prohibits people with bad credit from working as debt collectors. I told them that a foreclosure is about as bad as it gets, so I was sure Ryon Gambill would be excluded.

They got really mad and said the FBI was taking down every site on the web that had that false information on it. I said I might talk to them about paying when the sites are down.

Then they said if I'd pay 30% they'd erase the whole debt. I told them I'd rather wait for the sites to come down.

They they said they'd have me arrested. I told them I'd seen an arrest warrant for Ryon Gambill and that made them even madder. I told them they should try to take that down too.

They hung up on me.

All of those debt collection companies end up going under. They all usually run felons and their collection processes are usually illegal. They get tons of lawsuit against them for unfair practices.

I've recvd several calls from a Ms. Blake in the processing department. Today I decided to call her back after reading this post. I let her know first the debt shes calling about isnt My Debit. She then went into the fees, and process of paying as if i just didnt say the debit wasnt mine. I stopped her mid sentence to ask if her CEO was Ryon Gambill, she responded yes. I said well the debt is not mine and if it was i wouldnt dare give your company a penny. Your CEO has arrest warrants issued for fraud and he has plead guilty to extortion. She then asked where did i find this information and i said FF. She pretended to be looking at the site and was pretending to be shocked. I then let her know to update her records the debit isnt mine and to stop calling. She replied with a very respectful ok...lol GTFOH

+ 1000

Next time:

1) Ask if the caller is really named Amber. If so, ask her weight (be prepared for a LARGE number). If it isn't Amber, ask how much Amber eats on the job.

2) Ask what happened to Paul Stoliker (he robbed a bank).

3) Ask if Ryon Gambill and Ray Wrightsman still do "Brokeback Mountain" roleplay every Friday afternoon.

4) Ask how many more Oxycodones Ryon Gambill is taking now that he has lost his house.

5) Ask how many more Oxycodones Ryon Gambill is taking now that he can't see his kids (messy divorce).

And, of course, tell them you will not pay.

Unless Christina Troll is completely stupid, at some point she'll figure out what a loser Gambill is. The guy has a criminal record and outstanding warrants.

His collection is a joke at best and a criminal enterprise at worst. He has substance abuse problems, a failed marriage (can you say "Kimberly Nicole Edwards") and a child he's in a custody battle over.

Anyone who Googles his phone number (760) 423-1100, knows not to pay him.

And-the grand finale-he lost his home in foreclosure.

He'll crash and burn eventually-but will he take Christina with him?

She has bad skin, is trying look younger than she is, doesn't wear her makeup well, has oily hair…

But I suppose that's the best Ryon Gambill can do.

Or maybe he's the best Christina Troll can do? Who wants to hang out with a convicted criminal? Who wants to be with a guy with outstanding warrants? After all, a bounty hunter could show up and grab him. Or, if they change planes at the wrong US airport, he could be grabbed there as well.

Then, of course, there's the whole idea that he makes his money harassing and scamming people. Some day that will catch up with him. Of course, if he lost his house to foreclosure, it would seem it sort of already has!

They called me asking about a payday loan even they admit is old, but they want a lot of interest.

They just want me to pay by Western Union.

I would not pay. They said why. I told them I saw this arrest warrant and other stuff here.

The lady got really mad and said her boss has friends on the Fairfax Police Force and that the people running this site will go to prison for posting a fake warrant.

Maybe if that happens I might pay but not until.

This guy Ryon Gambill sounds like a first class douchebag.

it's real funny until CPS or collector has police come to house, always aremed, and shoots you if you resist

yea as if you owe them when they stole so much ! you owe them for stealing so much they have enough manpower and weaposn to stalk you. i'd say you owe!

---------------------------------
really

they can't harass you. ask them to stop. you can sue them if they stalk you.

depends on who you owe and why as to what they can and can't collect by taking you to court. what did you agree to with whom? did they cheat on the contract at all?

if you feel yuou don't owe you have to send them a letter saying so. say "take me to court i don't owe". then if they don't respond send another letter to a major credit firm saying they refuse to mediate a dispute. the "big boys" will then let you off and ignore their filing to them.

they have (years) to collect, if they fail to try, the debt is releived

and so on. all very boring. buy a book why not ??

and only send a letter of complain if you know how the debt occured

They had not called me for almost a year. I guess they updated something and I got a call today.

I told them a year ago I would not pay and today I will not pay. She said she would mark the file as refusal. I told her to mark Ryon Gambill as a bald haired loser.

She hung up.

I guess he isn't making money fast enough as a debt collector, so he wants outside investors-but who would invest their money with this guy?

New company name or not, still the same old scams.

I had this company on my credit and could not get it removed. I read the company had gone out of business. I applied again for removal and Experian said they had gone out of business so they were unable to check the debt and so it was removed.

I would recommend everyone else who has Marauder Corporation on their report to just ask for it to be removed. I also called the (760) 423-1100 number and it is out of service.

So much for this ass clown, Ryon Gambill, and his threats.
