Fairfax County General :
Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
I just put up the forecast in another thread, but I predict (if they're smart) they'll close school. Probably they'll open two hours late, and then cancel. Or if the snow starts later in the day, early school closing.
If they could find a way to "re-close" today in anticipation of the snow they would. Definitely no school tomorrow, and most likely no school on Wednesday. Two hours late on Thursday. And well, maybe they should just "throw in" Friday - just for shits and giggles.
The mouthbreathing moron factories won't open tomorrow or Wednesday. It seems to be their pattern.
One wonders if the government administrators might think to themselves, "Gee, maybe we should not have closed for bullshit excuses like rain or chilly weather earlier this school year, but have kept snow days in reserve for when it actually, you know, snows?" But I doubt it.

It's not like you're getting a day off.
If there is no school tomorrow then the makeup day is George Washington’s Birthday - Presidents' Day Holiday on you lose a vacation day.
FCPS will probably close on Tuesday, but not on Tesday as you ask. This strongly suggest that we probably need to find a way to keep it open after all. Please come by my classroom for private lessons after school on Wednesday.
They better not close tommorrow. I expect early dismissal since the snow will start after school starts. But if they close all day, what a bunch of p*ssies. They should visit the midwest or northeast where a few inches of snow is nothing.
It would be nice to see FCPS learn to deal with snow just like most of the rest of the country that's not the deep south or southwest. Go to any midwestern or northern school district and they'll show you how they stay open even with six inches of snow. Hell, seems like everyone around here's a fucking yankee anyhow so they should be used to it.

It seems easy to agree with you, but this is the new Fairfax. The advocacy groups think every kid needs to be enrolled in “honors classes” to pad the GPA, should have the grading scale lowered (again to pad theGPA), should not be asked to wake up for school until they want, and should be allowed to bring all the drugs to school they want. How do you expect these people to expect children to attend school in the snow. And if one kid slips and falls on the snow, or one school bus gets into an accident, the same people will demand that heads roll and will be enraged that schools were open to children. We are teaching our children that they must play the victim card all the time.
It's no wonder public school kids are so stupid. I'll never understand why parents that can stay at home do not all home school. The benefits are fantastic. Smarter kids, faster learning, more productive, no home work, less time spent in "school", it can be done anywhere (you don't have to wait to travel) parent/child bond and for what's important to the state, far higher scores on their stupid standardized tests.
Thomas Jefferson High School is the best high school in the world. We have an outstanding football team, as well as the world's best basketball team. We are all smarter than the rest of the base school dumbasses. GO COLONIALS!
Football team? and basketball team? They come back from school at 5 and have so much homework that they have no social life. And this is coming from a kid who goes to TJ

idk any billionaires from tj, but there are a lot of tj graduates that become millionaires. Way more millionaires come from TJ then any other public school at fairfax.
FCPS site is not loading. Web traffic is going through the roof. It's probably all FFXU users refreshing because they want to be the first to report its cancellation lol.
For all you TJ dickriders, Centreville High has alot more notable alumni including journalist and athletes. We also have 3rd place in Miss America and a Redskins ccheerleader(The Redskins are a football team for all you no social life kids). We were also opened 3 years later so watch out for the stand-outs on our STATE CHAMPION team to make it to the NFL
Centreville? Really dude? You are going to compare Centreville to TJ?
If it was Langely, I would have accepted it, but CENTREVILLE? That school is shit man, sorry.
Besides, you really want to compare sports? Sure TJ football isnt the best, but our tennis team is the current STATE Champions! WE WERE UNDEFEATED LAST YEAR! Our Swim and Dive and Cross Country and Track and Field Team are also top in the State.
Idk if you heard, but TJ sent a fucking satellite out to space, and we are the first to do so.
Don't bash on TJ just because you didn't make it in.
