Fire all PE teacher replaces them with IA.

Why can't we fire all PE teachers and replace them with IA? They don't do much either way. My PE Teacher Mr.****** is a dumb-ass.

PE teachers do double duty as coaches. That's the position for which they're really hired. Therefore, having IAs teach PE would be more, not less, expensive.

Not necessarily. Coaches are hired separately and are paid squat.

Huh. That's news to me. Every one of my PE teachers coached something, as well. To be fair, that was a long time ago, and a lot of FCPS policies and procedures are different now.

you would be surprised how many PE positions are filled by teachers who do not coach. they clog up a position that could go to someone willing to work overtime year round for free.

PE benefits everyone. IA benefits kids who won't float their own boats. Time kids/parents accept responsibility.
