U.S. CBP arrests Michael Edward Seche wanted for assault

STERLING, Va. (WUSA 9) -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers with the Office of Field Operations (OFO) at Dulles International Airport arrested Michael Edward Seche of Winsor, California on Sunday.

Seche, 22, was stopped and questioned by CBP officers while boarding a flight to Revkiavik, Iceland. The officers determined Seche was wanted for assault by the Sonoma County, California Sheriff's Office.

According to a news release from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the officers verified the validity of the warrant and turned Leche over to the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority for extradition.

CBP Port Director for the Port of Washington Dulles, Christopher Hess, was quoted in the news release: "As guardians of our nation's borders CBP remains ever vigilant in intercepting those travelers that our laws identify as needing further scrutiny."

Since this website doesn't remove or update content this is my only venue to correct the misinformation of this post:

First, it should be noted that this case has been dropped and the charges against me have been completely dismissed. Second, it should be known that the root of this incident stemmed from the incompetent Sonoma County District Attorney, Marianna Greene, who filed these ridiculous charges against me. Without divulging every detail, this whole mixup surrounded an incident last summer when I had to defend myself from a deaf homeless squatter who attacked my friend and me as we tried entering my sister's home. Later I learn that he is also a registered sex offender and a month before my case was dropped he had attacked two police officers.

So yes, when I say incompetent DA, I mean it. She has cost me tens of thousands of dollars, put me in jail Christmas week, and prevented me from seeing my sisters in Iceland who I only get to see twice a year. I'm a senior undergraduate student at American University, and instead of putting people like my attacker behind bars, the Sonoma County DA's office delays students from finishing school, confiscates their passports, and throws them in jail during the holidays. It should be noted, that despite his incident with me, he being a sex offender as well as being jailed for assaulting police officers, no charges have been filed against him. Now that's what I call justice.

You're full of shit. It's not the DA, but the officers on scene who initiate charges. You must've done something funny, otherwise they wouldn't have initiated them.

Lesson here: never beat your attackers to a pulp: ALWAYS restrain them and wait for police.

Michael Seche is a 22 year old native from Sonoma County, California, and is the middle child of a set of triplets. His two sisters reside and study in California and he lives in Washington, DC with his boyfriend.
