Robbers hold up State Theatre after New Year's Eve bash

The City of Falls Church Police Department needs your help in solving an armed robbery that happened on the morning after a big New Year's Eve bash.

WASHINGTON - The City of Falls Church Police Department needs your help in solving an armed robbery that happened on New Year's morning.

Police say just before 7 a.m. the State Theatre on North Washington Street was robbed by two black men, who are believed to be in their 20s or possibly younger.

Wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black baseball caps and bandanas, the suspects went into the building and demanded money. One had a gun.

At the time, only one employee was working. The theatre had just had a New Year's Eve retro dance party with The Legwarmers.

Nobody was hurt as the robbers got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

Anyone with information should call the City of Falls Church Police Department at 703-241-5053.

Well I raised an eyebrow when the so called suspects were described as black at the State Theater...cause as you said they don't really there....but then the article claims the money stolen was not known...I have no choice but to believe this is a hoax or inside job involving white employees hoping that people will buy this obvious lie. You might want to look at the crime statistics in the VA/DC/MD region. Most armed robberies are committed by BLACK MALES.

Or better yet, visit the Baltimore City jail and just see how many niggers are locked up in there for armed robbery.

Wow lots of stupid here. The robbery occurred at 7am. That means the police report was taken shortly thereafter. Or maybe even later....who knows? In any event the article was written at 130pm based on info they got from the police report. Its not illiogical at all that the business didnt have an accurate accounting of the total stolen at that time. It was probably just flunkies working there that late and they just threw the receipts in a safe of something.

Im willing to bet when an arrest is made, they will be negro savages with rap sheets as long as your arm which probably include prior armed robberies.

Exactly. Most, if not 99%, of real companies have some sort of policy not disclosing the amount taken to the press as it is a flag for other robbers. While the police may know, they do not disclose it as well for the same reason.

Do a google search on bank robbery stories. I would be surprised if one said "approximately $22,000 was taken". They will all be an an undisclosed or undetermined amount.

I have no idea if this story is true, or if it was an inside job or not. Just saying THAT is not a reason to call bullshit on it.
