If you know your specific battery size / number, buy it and take it to the person and ask them to use your better lithium battery. Most likely, they'll just use an underperforming battery that will not last long.
The same for car remote controls. For years, I'd have the dealer replace our batteries when going in for service (under warranty). It seemed like they would only last one year. I would even bring in my own "trusty" batteries and ask for those to be used instead. Same thing. However, when the car warranty ran out, I figured out how to program my remotes myself (a bit of an odd procedure for older Mazdas). Go figure. Once I started to replace the batteries on my own with my own selected battery, I would get about 3 years of life on a battery swap.
