Two boys, 12 and 13, have been charged with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in her backyard in Woodbridge.

The incident happened on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at 9:29 a.m. in the 15100 block of Blackburn Road.

The victim told police that the boys held her down in her yard and sexually assaulted her.

After an investigation, detectives charged both boys with forcible sodomy and abduction with intent to defile, said Prince William County police spokesman Jonathan Perok.

Both were being held at the Prince William juvenile detention center.

Release them! It's society's fault! Plus it happened like six days ago, they've changed since then! They're real religious now!

Then I would ask where was the parent when this was going on. Probably still laying in bed since it was before noon that this happened. Certainly not at work.

(WJLA) -In a case that has shocked nearby residents, police in Prince William County have arrested a 12-year old boy and a 13-year old boy who are both accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year old girl.

Police say the girl told them it happened Wednesday morning in her backyard.

They say officers arrived at the girl's home around 9:30 that morning, and the 11-year old told them the two boys, both of whom she knew, had held her down and sexually assaulted her.

The two boys were arrested later that day. They've been charged with forcible sodomy and abduction with intent to defile.

ABC7 was told they are both being held in the county's juvenile detention center in Manassas awaiting their first court date.

Prince William County Police aren't giving out the exact location of the alleged sexual assault, but they say it's in a neighborhood not far from the 15100 block of Blackburn Road.

It's also not far from Rippon Middle School, a public school located on Blackburn on that exact block. Police refused to say if any of the children involved are students there.

Residents in that area say they're horrified, especially by the ages of the victim and suspects.

"It's scary, it's terrible," said nearby resident Amy Torrez. "They're just kids."
