Woodson High School cop

I am a freshman at Woodson High School. I have noticed that the cop wears a bullet prove verst. Why does he wear that doing school??

I am in class. I am just not pay attenetion to the teacher. BYW I have an B in this class.

Because its the policy of the Fairfax County Police Department. And pay attention to current events---ever hear of the school shootings that are happening all over?

The cop assigned to Woodson is Michael Ferraris. The guy literally stands in front of the school building around 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. keeping track of people entering to visit and students leaving the front door. During lunch this guy will actually drive around the entire school and then all the way to Olley Lane to make sure students aren't leaving Woodson campus to get lunch at Chipotle or trying to skip school and come home early.

It's a pain in the ass, but at least the parents can calm down about school safety. FCPS totally flipped out after the Connecticut shooting (guess nobody cared for Columbine). Thats probably why he is wearing a bullet proof vest.

Hope that answers your question. Don't try to skip, this Michael Ferraris guy is super anal about everyone he sees entering and leaving the school whether its a student, visitor, part time teacher, etc.
