Downballot Races: Obenshain (R) leads Herring (D) for AG

Not really surprising as Virginia hasn't elected a Democratic Attorney General since 1989. Also, Obenshain (R-Harrisonburg) has significantly outraised Herring (D-Loudoun) and is widely considered to be running the strongest campaign of the three GOPers on the statewide ballot.

Still, a shitload of undecideds (much as with the Gov race) so it ain't over yet.

This year there will be reverse coat tails with Cuccinelli dragging down all down ballot nominees for the Republicans.

Not likely. This will be a low-turnout, almost entirely base election. There won't be enough "coat-tail" voters who actually show up to make much of a difference and polling shows those out there are roughly evenly split. Neither of their coats are long enough to cover their own asses and they both look like about equally bad fitting clown suits.
