What is Nuvo wine? Why so many interested in Fairfax?

I was in my favorite Discount beverage store over on 50 to get my favorite Moosehead beer which for some reason has disappeared from the shelves of local groceries. It's a Sunday evening and the place is crowded.

I'm getting my beer and I'm noticing that a lot of the customers are just really milling around. Pretending To shop but not really buying anything.

So I ask the clerk what's the big attraction.

She said they come in to get thier nuvo. They come in every year about this time and just hang around till thier nuvo comes in then they leave.

My question is, what is novo? I know it's some kind of wine and what is the big attraction?

nuvo is a pink sparkling vodka.
