I just bought a big house in Mclean 22102

Can someone give me the lowdown on the grocery stores in the area and what church I should go to. Catholic or Lutheran would be best.

And the neighbors, which ones should I avoid?

The Safeway at McLean Commons is a good grocery store but sometimes slow. Giant in downtonwn McLean is decent and can be a bitch to get in and out of. The Safeway in downtown McLean is shitty. The Harris Teeter back behind the Galleria is excellent.

Radiophile, you are a total moron. All of McLean should avoid you. And what, you didn't inquire about a church before buying? I wonder how BIG your big house really is....

This thread was less about Radiophile wanting to know about grocery stores in his area (which can be googled with "grocery store 22102") and more about him wanting to let people on the internet know he bought a house in Mclean. What a tool.

What neighbors to avoid? How about Radiophile.

Thanks. This thread was more about responding to the other troll thread to let THAT troll know how ridiculous she sounds.

Radiophile, you need to get out more. Although, that would harm society. You are clearly one of those jerk-off website morons, incapable of either mature conversation, or, dealing with another human. Who appointed you the guardian of this site? I asked a simple question. You can choose to either answer it, ignore it, or, act like Radiophile. Were you bullied in school? Awwwww. Go back to your masturbation-athon....

As far as groceries go, you might consider using Giant's Pea Pod delivery service, since you're "moving on up".

Now, in regards to churches and religion, you might as well become an Athiest. Certainly, you'll do plenty of "sinning" in McLean as you try to "Keep Up With the Johnses" that belonging to a religious organization would be quite hyporcitical.

Finally, while other poor folks come on this forum and complain about their personal property tax bills on their cheap, used cars; I suspect you'll be back here in 6 months making complaints about your real estate tax bills. McLean is going to be nailed with a nice increase in the coming fiscal year so the the FCPS and Fairfax Government employees can get some nice raises for once.

Oh, one more thing. Since you forgot to post a picture of your new place, I had to do a bit of digging into the tax records and then contact the appraisal office - who, in turn, provided me with a picture of your place when they appraised it before your mortgage was finalized. I personally like the "open" feel of it. Those 3 or 4 chairs on the porch look like a nice place to relax with a Budweiser after a hard day's work.

How much did you pay? Get a good deal for what you got? You must have had a decent down payment, eh.

Actually, that waterfront property is a small stream that feeds into the Potomac river, so there's no gators or anything like that in there. Might be a few fish from time-to-time, though.

Based on the assessment, the yearly property taxes that would be due to Fairfax County are only about $18,000. Yes, the house only has 2 bedrooms. I guess the girls and boys will have to "bunk up" together. But, that's the price one pays to live in McLean.
