Abortion Will NOT Be Outlawed if Cuccinelli is Elected
Posted by: WingNut ()
Date: August 28, 2013 09:34AM

Cuccinelli is form the Rick Santorum faction of conservatism. He believes life begins at conception and that homosexuality is a sin. Basically he believes the tenets that mainstream Catholic have believed for years...

It's all a little prudish for me and not my personal beliefs. I'm an atheist- not the ACLU asshole kind who needs affirmation in the form of Big Government, but the kind that makes up his own mind and won't follow a pastor, pope, pimp or iman. I have no problems with early term abortion (though I believe late term is murder in certain cases) and could care less if my neighbors take it up the ass or not- I'm just not interested in being forced to celebrate it...

Anyway- the QUESTION, the TOPIC and the HYPE....

Would things really change in Virginia's World of Abortion IF Cooch is elected governor?

NO.

There is however- NO PLAUSIBLE SCENARIO where abortion is BANNED. Period.

If "pro-life" Supreme Court Justices are appointed, there still must be NOT legislative, but judicial action to overturn Roe vs. Wade. Not going to happen.

Does anyone think the VA legislature has enough anti-abortion zealots? Let's look at some other arguably more rural and conservative states-

In Alabama- a "personhood bill" was rejected by voters...

In South Dakota- an abortion ban initiative was rejected by voters...

The little reality? The anti-abortion crowd may TALK A BIG GAME in public, but in the privacy of a curtained poll booth, they want abortion access to remain.

They hate the idea of welfare to pay for "unwanted" children, they hate the idea of some undesirable knocking up their little princess.

Likewise, the pro-abortion/"pro-choice" crowd loves the hype and scare tactics that a uniquely social conservative produces for them. A totalitarian scenario is touted with back alley abortions, imprisonment of gays and all kinds of other medieval throwbacks.

Are these fucking idiots real?

A lot of those who envision such a dramatic social change are NOT grounded in reality.

They are suburban coffee shop and yoga studio leftists. Unhappy and unfulfilled AARP members and 60's nostalgiasts.

They are ugly and unloved women who want to assert their "independence" even though abortion (or even sex) is not a reality in their lives.

They are college age joiners and tryhards who love to feel they are a part of something BIG. No way in the world could they handle Tianamen or Taheri Square-type action, but they are big, big, big on slaying imaginary tyrants- as long as all takes is a Tweet, a Like or a vote.

It's a great scare tactic, but abortion is here. To stay.

Fucking bet on it.

.

I won't die if he is or isn't, the hype in politics is what is sickening.

It's pretty clever to build a voting block with people that stupid and easily frightened, but remember- if you feed a pigeon they will always want food.

But my progressive religion tells me that if a Republican is elected women will go back to the 1950's. How can that not possibly be real when they clearly want to steal all my birth control? My statist beliefs are absolutely NOT based on abject lies, so I'm confused.

The catch is that once he outlaws sex, there will be no need to ban abortion.

That's right!

If Cuccinelli is elected then abortion and birth control will be immediately outlawed. Women will be dying by the thousands from botched coat hangar abortions performed in back alleys. Gays will all be rounded up and taken to extermination camps. It will be 100x worse than the Holocaust, Trail of Tears, and 9/11 combined!

OH THE HUMANITY!

Yes, in fact you WILL die if he is or isn't elected. It's just a matter of time. Usually less than people expect.

It's not clever at all. Scare tactics are the oldest trick in the book. Communists...tax-and-spend liberals...Muslims and their WMD. All part of right-wing vote-manufacturing mythology. So dumb that they can't appeal to anyone's intellect, so they go down-scale and appeal to emotions. Only the ignorant actually fall for it, but there is a lot of ignorant going aorund, thanks in large part to the right-wing disinformation media.

Let's not play games. You don't have to ban it if you make extremely difficult to get. Which he has done.

Access to abortion in Virginia has only gone backwards under our latest reign of medieval myth and superstition. The troglodytes can't actually outlaw abortion, so in the name of "public health" (LOL!), they create absurd building code requirements that virtually no functional clinic can comply with except through massive and costly renovations. Conservatives have been against women's rights since the first person thought of them. Cuccinelli hates women's rights as much as any of them. He'll decide so you don't have to...

Yeah, like that doesn't apply equally to the left. I mean you're the 'smart' ones. You'd *never* fall for that kind of stuff. Much too smart for that. All of your dumb talking points are the TRUTH!

He's a Koch affiliated, misogynistic, anti-science fundie trying to worm his way out of the current bribery scandal. His stint has AG had been a succession of mad partisan campaigns and vendettas

A disgrace to the Commonwealth

If the Cooch is elected, he will propose a whacko agenda most of which won't pass.

All he will be interested in is making a national name for himself to run for president in 2016. It doesn't matter if he gets anything through the legislature, so long as his name is in the news as a true right winger.

here's a tough civil question for you. asuuming your a citizen living in a society which always does what is best for mankind and man, and not greed. (cough .. is that what they sent to mars i can't find it anywhere !)

a woman has a "monster" baby. the baby is deformed, maybe happy but maybe very troubled too. the baby very expensive to take care of - millions of dollars.

should there be a limit to what "science undertakes" and who should pay? the poor with their live? who should decide? the doctors (who make such calls at times)? the parents? polititians in the area responsible for funding?

background info: there are some medical procedures that can save a life which the A.M.A. warn doctors not to use because the cost is too high and would bankrupt the system and cause lack of care on others. (recently they've been bending the rules for rich people)

there you go. argue that one through.

Odd reactions about health and sanitation regulations in free standing health clinic area.

If the offices in which a doctor lances the boil on your ass must meet health and safety standards, what possible pro-women, pro-choice sense does it make to say, but don't make my abortion provider have to meet the same, or similar, standards?

The Kermit Gosnell case tells those who care all they need to hear about why impose basic health and safety regulations on a largely UNREGULATED and UNKEMPT end of the medical pool. Halls so narrow that gurneys carrying the wounded women to emergency rooms could not pass. Sixteen year old, non-trained, personnel providing medical screening, and TREATMENT.

Virginia's new regulations of these clinics allows them to operate. It just presumes that there is no greater entitlement to health and safety regulation free operation for abortion businesses than for podiatrists.

The Kookster doesn't need to ban abortion to render it unavailable. All he needs to do is institute overly restrictive, unnecessary regulations on abortion providers with which they are unable to comply, thus causing said providers to shut their doors, and viola! By eliminating access, you have a defacto banning of abortion.

Cuccinelli - Too Extreme for Virginia.

No, he can't. That requires the state legislature. The Governor may be able to stop bills by not signing them but they can't create law.

True. However, the GOP-controlled VA legislature will be all-too-happy to pass said legislation, which The Kookster will gladly sign.

T-Mac would summarily veto such overly restrictive, unnecessary regulations on abortion providers.

Access to abortion is in jeopardy if Republicans control the governorship (especially a zealot like The Kookster) and the legislature.

You can have that boil on your ass lanced by a nurse practitioner at that quick medical care center in the strip mall around the corner. Your analogy doesn't make sense.

Dormiunt leges aliquando, nunquam moriuntur - The laws sometimes sleep, but never die.

they can hack as much as they want. but they never have a right to pass legislation that is against the law. and if they did when it is discovered, then it is in error

there is the articles of confederacy, declaration of ind., constitution, constitutions of each state etc, then legislation and so on. what many hacks today seem to not realize is these were based on older law which is ASSUMED when not covered by the above.

there is absolutely nothing surprising in them to find in them, if you have 1/2 a heart to begin with, if your soul is not rotted

what maybe is surprising is how advanced they were and how AGAINST FACISM they were going back even 2000 years

HOWEVER since your local court is probably pissing on the grave of your lawbooks does it really matter ?

old authors of laws were brilliant men of their time (like Franlin) not mere 1/1000 "lib lawyer" types

they realized how easily law was abused becauase they had experience dealing with the abuse. the romans themselves put in a great ammount of law designed to protect law against abuse of law

MY PROBLEM with this obama care, "get scanned or we arrest you" is this.

they are going to harass whites and leave foreigners alone

they are going to find poor esp white, make them targets, arrest them, take everything they have. if they can't they force medical care then bill them and auction everything they have.

you know it. i know it. that is obamacare

that is one of 1000 ways they plan to CONTINUE the trend of foreigners outpacing whites in births and votes which they have already done BOTH of: and facism drives it (ie, facist big city operations gave them powers)

why cuccionelli is helping them i have no idea. ignorance? or because he's from NJ and his interests lie there? no idea.

The reality of the situation is that the Republicans royally screwed themselves by eliminating the primary as the candidate selection method. Cuccinelli should not have ever been selected and now the party is faced with having to live with an out of the main stream politician that cannot be elected! I am a Republican that has never voted for a democrat and this election is probably the first election that I will sit out. I am also a canary in the coal mine type of voter so the chance of Mr. Cuccinelli getting elected is incredibly low.

Why is it that every time a republican candidate is discussed someone comes out of the woodwork claiming to be a life long republican that has never voted for a dem that will not vote for them? Quite a coincidence.

The guy who could "never win" has already won a state wide election in the past by the way

I'm not fooled by either side. But your examples only addressed one. Same applies equally both ways. Just as many 'clowns' on the left, just a difference in delivery style. Neither of which have much of a concern with presenting 'truth.' Or is your grasp of reality so flimsy that you actually think that you're getting the 'truth' from much of anyone these days?

Well, somebody's doing it -- you haven't said a sensible thing yet. It is a simple fact that truth exists and that it can be discovered by those with any actual and durable interest in it. But clowns have no clue and don't even care about what the truth is. They are perfectly happy to be snookered by the ridiculous disinformation media and such professional lying bozos and meatheads as Bush, McCain, and Romney. You voted for all three of them, didn't you? No, you weren't fooled at all. Much too sharp for that to have happened.

> But your examples only addressed one. Same applies

No, it doesn't apply equally. You are merely betraying either your ignorance or your dishonesty here, starting with an inability to distinguish between spin and lying. That's a very serious fault you've got going there. You are going to get exploited a lot as the result of that.

> Just as many 'clowns' on the left, just a difference in delivery style.

Once again, a failure to pay adequate attention. The right-wing spent 30 years and hundreds of millions of dollars in building out a propaganda network intended first to influence public debate and then to dominate it. There is no comparable industry on the left.

> Or is your grasp of reality so flimsy that you
> actually think that you're getting the 'truth'

Actually, it's been my job for decades to find and analyze the truth. That's why right-wingers hate me. For very good reason, they hate and fear everyone whose job it is to find and identify the truth. The right-wing deals in and relies on emotions, not facts, Facts are their mortal enemy.

So Step-1 in this process that you haven't engaged in is to realize that you cannot expect to be "getting" the truth as if you were ordering it at the deli counter at some supermarket, It takes quite a bit more effort and initiative than that. But this whole concept seems to be beyond you at this point.

Again, you McScamalot supporters seem confused. Mississippi would be Terry.

You know, where that rich 1%er son-of-a-bankster is pretending to build his sham of a glorified golf cart company with the $10 million in tax payer money his old buddy Haley Barbour hustled for him and his Chinese partners in his offshore tax haven that they set up to milk tax credits and funded by the shady visas-for-sale racket Hillary's bro set up.

Yes, T-Mac is a smart, capable buinessman.

He's just the kind of go-getter we need as the Commonwealth's next Governor!

If going and getting other people's money through some shady political deal for his own benefit is your idea of a go-getter, then he's your man. That's been the basis for his entire career and 1%er fortune that he's made doing just that.

The only thing that McAuliffe puts first is money for McAuliffe.
