VDOT Mowing and Repaving

Article has a list of roads scheduled for maintenance.

It says some roads won't get mowed until October. Is it really that hard to find reasonably priced contractors to mow this stuff? Some places really look like shit after awhile.

I was going to suggest to the county they sell or grant "mowing rights" to local landscape companies in exchange for posting a small sign (ie.. "Mowing by Wingnut LawnCare 703 555 8888)

I don't know how it would work for the landscapers, but I think enough would give it a try to get the grass cut.Most of the problem areas are medians that could be knocked out quickly.

Vince must not be awake yet...he hasn't suggested that the county give the mowing jobs to illegal aliens.

That's a great idea. That way, the county can round up all those that show up, have them mow, and then shoot them out of a giant cannon back to Mexico.

They just repaved a bunch of those roads in the Centreville about 2 years ago. I dont know why they are repaving them again. The road that really needs repaving is New Braddock, that shit is covered in cracks.

Also they close down the whole road at night to to the resurfacing, it is very inconvienent
