whats wrong with cox internet

Cox internet is down every ten minutes. customer phone line is busy and chat line is also busy. Its been like this since 11 am. I m in fairfax. Anyone know whats going on?

They have no Fios here. Verizon has dsl only here.

Don't be too giddy about fios. They seem to throttle down every night around 11pm. For no apparent reason, things get slow and choppy. Maybe prime porn hours?

In the summertime there are more kids home from school using it, and it taxes the FiOS infrastructure. Also Porn is so lucrative that Verizon has its own team in their NOC dedicated to "Quality Assurance" to avoid having to issue credits for any poor service (such as pixelization).

Okay our Internet has been up and down for weeks. Thurs they said to upgrade cable modem. Worked great 12 hours. Today at noon they said to overwhelmed call back in 2 hours. We said no send a tech to fix it. They said would call its 7 1/2 hours later and no word what the issue is or returned call. Have been looking for other options because rates are so high and service is up and down. This could be the week that 11 years of being a customer we quit
