Manassas Kmart down for the count

Was out at Chantilly Kmart. asked manager how long they had lease on place cause of recent closing of Fairfax City. she mentioned Manassas Kmart currently closing down. She wasn't very optimistic about the Chantilly store staying open very much longer.

Could the end be near for the Kmart in NoVa?

These stores have themselves to blame. No matter how good the price I will not shop at a dirty store. The Walmart in Kingstowne has to be the worst for a relatively upper middle class neighborhood. The store is dirty and the aisles are always blocked with unpacked merchandise.

Yeah...every K-Mart I've been in lately makes Wal-Mart look good.

Kmart has been eclipsed by the Targets and Walmarts. Sears is probably regretting that purchase.

You can hit the Manassas K-mart up for some good deals. I've done well there and at the one that used to be in Fairfax.

You do remember that Sears was BOUGHT BY K-Mart, right? See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sears_Holdings :

"On November 17, 2004, Kmart Holdings Corporation announced its intention to purchase Sears, Roebuck and Co."

Hell, Kmart and Sears have been eclipsed by Kohls and, arguably, Big Lots.

The down fall of Kmart was when they stopped using the Blue Light, and the Blue Light Specials.

There was a Kmart on Rt 7 in the middle of Tysons Corner - About where Tiffany is located. Kmart never had valet parking.
