I haven't ruled out voting for McAuliffe. I vote Dem in local elections on some occasions and Mac is a hard working hustler. I actually admire his early business experience.

His ads are nothing but scare tactics. All about abortion and these dark tomes that hint a return to medieval times.

I agree that Cooch is kind of a prude, but he can't and won't be able ban or severely limit abortion, there is no demand for that in the state. Abortion is here to stay, like it or not.

Mac could get some votes if he'd talk about jobs and roads.

Mac is trying to define Cooch as a religious nutter before the ad war really heats up after Labor Day. Some campaigns try to define their opponents early to put them on the defensive before showcasing what their own candidates will do once in office.

We'll find out in November if this strategy works. Both candidates have a lot of baggage to overcome.
