Interesting story.

You have to wonder why people need to beg money anyway unless it is for drugs. The rest of their needs are taken care of free by the government. Free public housing, food stamps, free medical care and free obamaphones.

For these people I think its sheer laziness, but then again why would anyone sit out there all day in the heat begging for money. Unless they worked at some low level, dead end job with minimum wage, you're not going to make that much money.

For most of the people doing it .. Maybe, probably.. Sure.

But if you watch the video. The one chick made $32.00 in an hour without really trying.

I am sure if someone put more creative effort into it and tester various types of locations they could easily come up with a formula that exceeds 50-60 an hour for some number of hours a day. Keep in mind it is cash an untaxed too.. Which is like making a good bit more.

I once saw a bum playing a saxophone on the street in Old Town Alexandria one Friday night for change. I later found out that he was actually a music professor from GMU and was doing it for "kicks".

This one time in DC this dude, probably homeless, came up to me and was like "hey yo you got a dolla? I'm just tryin' to get high." I have gave him a 5 spot for his honesty LOL

There's been a rise in pandhandlers around in Fairfax in the past two-months. Seven Corners, Falls Church, Tysons, Annandale, Fairfax Circle, and now Fair Lakes. I've noticed that police around here are really starting to come down on them too.

Do university students also involved in this kind of panhandling in fairfax? I can't smoke in peace inside GMU campus due to the student beggars asking for cigarretes one after another. This god-forsaken-mother-fucking-shit-hole place is really fucked up.

Do any of y'all know what is the story of the dude that bums money at the off ramp to Braddock east from FFX parkway south? He's got some rough scarring going on his face, white dude around forty, has a moped too. He's nice enough and not pushy but looks totally cooked. He looks like one of the dudes that used to hang out at the parking lot parties at Rolling Valley Mall or at Picket in Fairfax back in the eighties...

There is this guy who wears mirrored sunglasses even at night that can be seen around the county. He drives a powder blue Civic. I believe he is the OP of the Lamb Center thread -- An Innocent Victim. He thinks the world owes him everything.
