Anyone else think Starbucks are getting dirtier?

I'm not an addict but I do hit Starbucks for a drink and pastry a couple of times a month. I tend to visit a bunch of different locations and over the last 6 months or so, am dismayed by the level of filth and appearance I've seen.

Dirty dishes piled up near the microwaves where they heat up sandwiches, a whif of stale milk, overflowing trash recepticles, dirty tables that require a request to get wiped down and furniture that is beat to hell.

Am I being picky or has anyone else take note of this as well? The staff tends to be spot on, it's just the facilities that seem to be falling apart.

They are doing good business? If it bothers you, bring your patronage somewhere else.

Anita's and Tippy's does good business too and they're filthier than a $20 whore. I think Starbucks have been dirty for a long time but most people get in line, get their coffee and bug out.

The cleanliness seems about the same to me.

But the staff is definitely getting worse. Especially the starbucks that are inside of a larger store, Target for example. Those are Mcdonalds-grade employees.

Starbucks bathrooms are a great place to masturbate. But always check for cameras first.

I don't know if its that they are dirty or just the mood the dark interios set. Dark floor tiles, ceiling painted black, dark brown furniture, many with limited windows. I find them depressing.

I was in a Starucks in another state recently, and they had this rag they were using to clean the milk steaming wand sitting in a vat of brown milky liquid. Of course they were reaching their hands in the vat, grabbing a (most likely) filthy white washcloth and cleaning the steaming wand.

Almost didn't want my cappuccino after that. But I drank it anyway.

It's funny you mentioned the dirty steaming wand rag as I saw that too. For me it was at the Stabucks on Rt. 50 near Stringfellow Rd. I was so grossed out, I haven't been back in more than a year.

It is illegal for any business to put cameras in a restroom, locker room, fitting room or changing room. If you notice a camera in any of these areas, please contact your local law enforcement for additional investigation.

Sounds like I'm good to go for stroking my steaming wand then, am I right?

If you don't like the place, don't buy coffee there!

It's not Starbucks. Or it's not just Starbucks.

The whole area is getting more Mexicany. Ergo, everything is becoming fucking filthy.

You do have to wonder if there is some tipping point in the American:Mexican ratio. At some point, will things get very shitty very quickly..

I agree. Starbucks has been on a slow downward slope in this area for the last year. Go visit a Starbucks in other parts of the country and they aren't dirty or smell funky like they do here.

I love Starbucks. They allow people with CCW permits to carry on premises. Some idiots think they can cause Starbucks problems because of their adherence to the law (and the Constitution) by launching a bullshit propaganda campaign but I can see through their delusions. I don't drink coffee at all but I'll be sure and visit them soon. You idiots who think you're pulling something cute are hooked on Kool-Aid. :)

WTF does their open carry policy have to do with the cleanliness of their stores?

Maybe it is not so much the Starbucks but the bums who hang out there all day using the wifi. Kicked out of their moms basement in the AM they have nowhere else to go for the rest of the day until mom fixes them dinner.

Ever sit in one of their big "comfy" chairs? They smell like a cum-filled sock left on top of the heating radiator. Okay, while it's not cum, it's a acccumulation of spilled drinks and the odor is fermented, rotted milk.

Stabucks is in desperate need of revamping some of their stores!

If cleanliness is an issue you can always complain to management or the County health officials. Maybe if you kept up with news you'd understand.

Wow, you've got your head up your ass just a bit. I'm in favor of concealed and open carry. If a business bans concealed carry, I ignore it, because it's CONCEALED. If they ban open carry, I carry concealed. I never carry while drinking alcohol, or in jurisdictions where it's illegal. Any business serious about banning guns will frisk their customers like a nightclub in DC. Ooops.
