Unbundled From COX Fairfax

Called COX last month - cancelled all premium channels to reduce expense of their TV, phone & Internet bundle since streaming Netfix and Amazon Prime is better.

"Okay" they said - you're all set.

I got their bill today - it went up $12 instead of down and is over $200 a month! @$%#

Called them just now and took the TV (all of it) and phone off the account = $66 for Internet alone.

They pleaded for a second chance (to screw this customer) but I am tired of this ripoff from COX.

I feel much better now - thanks.

Greetings.

I will cordially call bullshit.

First, cancelling premium channels has absolutely nothing to do with the bundle. The bundle pricing is typically offered in term contract. The premium channels can always be cancelled to decrease a bill. There is 0 chance you cancelled movie channels and your bill went up. Movie channels do not have anything to do with the bundles. The bundle in your case is for TV, Internet, and Phone -- if you choose to have DVR, extra movie channels, more digital boxes.. those are extra expenses on top of your bundle price.

Welcome to the real world where you have to pay for things and understand contracts and how to get deals.
