Reynolds Museum, this temporary exhibition explores how foods were prepared and presented at 18th-century Mount Vernon. Before appearing in dining rooms, crispy hoecakes, smokes hams, frozen ice creams, and other foods required the work of gardeners, housekeepers, enslaves cooks, butlers and waiters - all under Martha Washington's careful supervision.

Following food from the Estate's field to kitchen to table, visitors will see recipes and cookbooks that Martha treasured, pots that simmered in her kitchen, and fine tablewares that made Mount Vernon's dining room fit for a president. For the first time ever, visitors to the Museum will experience scents as they explore the exhibition - smelling cinnamon, coffee, and warm bread. Open through August 11, 2013.

Entrance to the Donald W. Reynolds Museum is included in regular Estate admission.

These are all valuable events but just "entertainment" for the moment type with mass audience outreach.

With a limited time my family has available. my family prefers to go our Temple and participate in a spiritual music event or a religious festival event where we are teaching our kids about our cultural heritage and meeting with friends with whom we share our own cultural and spiriutal heritage.

This second event types helps strengthen "Moral Wisdom" but your "Weenend Activites" are all mass thinking entertainment type and not community and family building type of events.

For this week-end, ""entertainment" will take a back seat to a family picnic at the neighborhood park with a few other family friends.

How disgusting. You hold your own heritage in such high regard, yet you insult our ways here in America. If you want to come to our country to find the American dream, that's fine. But for you to come here and insult our practices is beyond offensive. You care not for our culutre, or our history, or our customs. You come here to suck the fat of our land, and nothing more. Go home if you like it there so much, you give all the other immigrants a bad name.
