Can we pretty much pencil in Lake Braddock to win the patriot district? With their returning defense and superstar Quarterback, is anyone going to stand up to them?

TC Williams will win the district this year. They have a really good coaching staff and the talent to go with it. Lake Braddock has a lot of talent this year but they lack Discipline and Coaching!

South County's non-division schedule includes Hayfield, Mount Vernon, and Chantilly. MV should be a win, the other two are toss ups.

South County sucks... Unless your a myopic parent writing these posts, to compare anyone in this crappy district to Lake Braddock, a concorde level team is silly. Dont be upset when the Johnny Lorton's get pummeled 40-0 by Braddock yet again this year.

Braddock has won all or a share of 5 of the last 6 Patriot titles, including 4 straight. Few would argue they have the best talent. TC has zero, SC has one, WTW one, and WP one despite as good or better talent. Whoever said they are undisciplined and uncoached is mistaken.
Likewise LB won the district in all major boys sports...hoops, baseball, soccer, FB, wrestling etc...bet a clue

If you are counting just the last 6 years then you forgot that West Springfield has 2 district championships. One of LB's was a tie with WS and WS beat them in head to head but the state doesn't do tie breakers.

In fact our old coach Bill Renner's offense has won or tied for all 6 of those championships, just he sold it to other schools or taught them. If South County beats LB this will be the first year a non Renner offense has won the district in 7 years.
With the running back from LB graduating and SC bringing back all their option offensive threats I give the nod to SC while the spartans reload with a new staff.

Lb- 10-0 daddy henderson wont let nothin ruin his sons college chances. soco- 8-2 more talent but back to d6...annandale and TC will surprise people. by the way i coordinated at 3 schools in the district so i know whats good.

Actually it is no longer the "Patriot District" it is Conference 7. And Lee is not in Conference 7. They have been dropped down to Conference 13 in North 5A.

And regional championships are things of the past. In the bigger sports, conferences in the North and conferences in the South in each of the six classifications will play in the playoffs. For football it will be 1-16 in North and 1-16 in South. The top two teams play each other in state semis with winners playing for state title.

no it's still the Patriot District.
The new groupings are just for playoffs.
So when Lee sets their schedule they have 7 district games (as always) and 3 out of conference games (as always).
They do not play "conference 7" schedule.
So district champion will be crowned the same as ever.
Meaning it will go to LB.

South county should challenge and beat braddock this season. the team is loaded with stars on both sides of the ball, and the camaraderie of a real team, not a bunch of recruits. South county under pannoni and his staff has become a concorde level power.
